What an awesome demo. The graphics, the effects, everything blends so well and looks stunning. Magnar did a good job on the overall design. Love the "King of Chicago" theme. Top score from me. Will be watching this again and again :)

The original style of this one might make it my favourite Censor demo yet, and I love to see these new spins on familiar effects! This only took one month? Sheesh...!

Nice and solid demo. I really like the exponential/fractal zoomer with the clouds.

I don't know how Talent does his dithering, on some pictures there is only dithering no normal edges. Amazing c64 quality and colors!

don't think i've seen many demos that stylish. come to think of it, maybe none.
this LOOKS absolutely effortless and it SEEMS that it was one big chunk o' fun for the team creating this.
i hate this word, but... cool. this is the best description. coolest sort of cool.

the music is of very high quality and exceptionally consistent throughout, which is quite an achievement with three composers. i wouldn't be able to tell who did what, if it wasn't for previews ;)

true words said, this ultra-rare kind of demos is usually shown at X and snatches 1st prize there.

splendid demo, Talent's gfx out of this world as usual.
maybe too much kefrens bars. I'm not a big fan of that fx but that's me, so ignore me :)

Congrats on a well deserved win guys.

My most favorite moments in this demo is the build-up of the alcatraz-bars, the diagonal upscroller and the end tune. Just wow! Great work - especially you, Peacemaker. Applause!!!

awesome demo as usual with censor design, with great graphics, fitting soundtrack, and awesome code, but somehow this one manages to punch even harder than usual i think.

faves:

* projector noise + basic fader - sounds fxxking perfect! and looks so good. this goes for the projector noise effect throughout the demo too

* "PRESENTS" warping its way down the screen - understated and awesome

* mega border slime scroller - oh yeah, nice one!

* linear bouncy sprite bars - the prioritization is cool, but they look like maybe the border was supposed to be open? also, unfortunately, to me they look a little too much like the effect in Aliens in Wonderland , which looked way cooler i think

* d016 / d02x split under a sprite dude - this one is lovely! don't think i've seen this particular type of split before. interesting when you see the color split being revealed when the dude moves out of the way. this is a type of effect that many probably will miss the beauty of.

* massive full screen scroll with pumlor and seaweed - kinda an upgraded censor classic. looks great

* all border circular sprite mover - such a massive one, excellently performed, $d010 and all

* minor detail, but very nice, is how the stars on the "made by censor design" picture seems to be synched to the melody

* zoom scroller over plasma: cool idea!

* the mega dough hooks! so many, so colorful, and so vivid! the movement is so lovely complex and dancy.

* the record player is cool, but why is it spinning anti-clockwise?

* the picture mega stretcher: i can't figure out if this is a real bitbuster stretcher or an 8th line stretcher - if it is a bitbuster stretcher it is definitely a world's first, with all that movement! (and even if it isn't, it still looks great.) extra cool with the mirrored texture coming in from the sides (which i suppose you could implement with a single look-up-table - very nice idea!)

* appreciate the killer greets :)

* 3d column - wow that glassy effect really works!

* extra bonus points for the art deco dirart that nails the time period!

Looks like another ace demo from Censor. Really liked the wobbling Kefrens, the plasma filled zoomer-scroller, the credits. Many good parts + music, the gfx is outstanding.

What a banger of a demo! It was a highlight at the event. Well curated art, code and fantastic music - Magnars endsong was super-great, now re-listening it. The flip disk part is really nice :) Genesis Project's contribution (Ad Astra per Alas Porci) who came second was a strong contender; really nice too. Thanks for a fantastic party!

awesome demo! congrats on the win :)

the cloud anim in the beginning reminded me of Sparkler's pic Captain Cloudberry - Episode IV: "Helium".

gfx & soundtrack are awesome throughout and on the coding front there are many parts I like, the curvy kefrens bars looked great!

I was gonna say "degkrokar" but they were so quick the new effect must be called "slemkrokar" or even "snorkrokar". Everything in this demo is so damn slick, smooth, quick, flowy. Looks effortless, even if I know there's shitloads of work behind it. This is the kind of demo you'd see winning at X, but instead it was released on the much smaller Mysdata meeting. I love that.

Ahhh, very cool! Very nice mixture of brilliant design, awesome graphics, cool music .. and just the right sprinkling of codep0rn.

That 3-way-split is very cool - using colour splits to give the appearance of it being bitmap is a nice play.

I hope that Codeboys, this, X-File and others are a sign that we're moving more to 1 disk (2 side) demos :-) .. we're getting old now - I found myself reaching for my newspaper and slippers during some of those 4-side X demos :'-) (just kidding.. maybe).

This one, though, shows again that Censor can really bring it. Brilliant.
