Thx, folks!

Big fan of Nine - I mean, who isn't? It's perfect! - and in hindsight, there's indeed a lot of similarities: blue BG, guy in a top hat doing something magical without moving much but my starting point was different: I just wanted to use the phrase "The Pogoing is nigh!" and my mind went "Let's do an Victorian age conspiracy instead of a bum holding a poster", which meant drawing a Pixel Punk with big glasses and a top hat and guess what picture my brain immediately brought up: Dracula. Even kept the colored glasses but it's only visible in one of the fade in/out frames :D

As for the "magic trick": I blame rewatching all of Twin Peaks over the summer/fall which kinda sparked the idea of showing cryptic visions of a mixed up past & future in a floating orb; also, a perfect chance to drive Raistlin crazy ... erm, keep Raistlin occupied by (once again) adding tons of GXF/animation ;)

BTW, the vision was briefly seen as being an interactive puzzle thingy but for keeping it simple and turning it into a self-running teaser, that concept was scratched. Its "disk manipulation" element survived though and got somewhat added to the project that's been teased here, in PETSCII Intro and - spoiler! - a third teaser soon to be uploaded. See what I did there? Again, past, future, it all just a big cunning Pogo scheme (in my head at least) \\o/

PS: uploaded a .png showing all orb pix for those who don't wanna step through but still want to check them all out.

Had fun stepping through the conjured-up PETSCII blipvert. Clearly there's an homage to LFT's Nine going on here, as well...
