Jenny and her Trusty Turtle

I finished that mini from Hasslefree last week end and that was my entry for the Irregular Painting Competiton. I spent a lot of time on the base and a lot less on the miniature itself. It does show on some areas. I’m really not happy with the face particularly; I could have restarted it but decided to move on. Anyway hope you like it…


J’ai fini ce diorama ce weekend et je l’ai entré dans la compétion de peinture du magazine Irregular. J’ai passé pas mal de temps sur le socle et moins sur figurine^^. Ca se voit sur certaines parties. Je ne suis vraiment pas content du visage ; j’aurais pu recommencer mais j’ai eu la flemme. J’espère que ca vous plaira…

Basing and WIP

I’ve been working on scenery this week end rather than painting despite being very late on all 3 competitions I plan on entering this month. Some of those scenery pieces will be part of the minis I need to complete so not all time lost.
I started with making a statue which will be the base for the witch figurine I’m painting for the “Arcane contest”. The pictures are self explanatory: I used a priest from the Wyrd range, made a mould and then casted it in plaster. I, then stuck it on a sculpey ruined base, finished it with green stuff. It’s been moulded as I write this.





J’ai essentiellement travaillé sur des éléments de décors ce weekend en dépit de mon gros retard sur les minis que je dois peindre pour les compétitions du mois d’octobre. Certains éléments feront partis des socles pour ces minis donc ce n’est complètement pas que du temps perdu.
J’ai commence en travaillant sur une statue pour le socle du concours chez « Arcane ». Les images n’ont pas vraiment besoin de commentaires : j’ai utilise un prêtre de chez Wyrd, fais un moule puis un tirer un modèle en plâtre. Je l’ai ensuite collé sur une base en sculpey et fini avec de la pate verte. Je suis en train de faire un moule de la pièce au moment ou j’écris cela.



In between, I worked on fireplace scenery and some bases for Malifaux or else. It’s all mainly sculpey and green stuff plus some bits and pieces. It’s all being moulded at the moment.




Entre temps, j’ai travaillé sur une cheminée et sur quelques socles pour Malifaux ou autre. C’est tout en sculpey ou pate verte plus quelques éléments pris a droite-gauche. Le tout étant moulé à l’instant.

Irregular Magazine Competition

I just entered the Irregular Magazine Competition today. I just learnt about that competition last week and decided to run with it. The theme of the competition was Skirmish so I decided to make a mini-diorama Necromunda inspired. I used a model called “Convict Gunslinger”. from Wyrd Miniature and the Malifaux range.I used some sculpey for the base and a control pad from Antenociti's Workshop.

Ca y est, je viens juste de participer au concours organisé par Irregular Magazine. J’avais appris l’existence de ce concours seulement la semaine dernière et ai immédiatement décidé d’en faire partie. Le thème de la compétition était « Escarmouche » donc j’ai décidé de faire un mini-diorama inspiré par Necromunda. J’ai utilisé un modèle qui s’appelle « Convict Gunslinger » produit par la compagnie Wyrd pour leur gamme Malifaux. J’ai utilisé du Sculpey pour faire la base et un panneau de contrôle fait par Antenociti's Workshop.
