Shabbat Shalom and a new shaky ceasefire with Lebanon

Shabbat Shalom! Israel now has a very shaky ceasefire with Lebanon. The Lebanese government has long been willing for better relations with Israel, but they are very weak and unable to control Hezbollah. So far, as I write this, we have had about 6 hours of quiet and no missile attacks from the north.  I hope that it will last. Yaakov had a saying once about these ceasefires. "we cease, and they fire". This has been true often in the past. Let's see. Hopefully the people in the north will have a quiet and peaceful Shabbat. They have been hammered with almost constant missile and drone attacks, even as we in the center, have had some rest and quiet for the last two weeks. I hope you enjoy this Dry Bones cartoon from 1991.  Also, sending out a big thanks to those of you who have donated over the past months. It is a really big help and you are much appreciated. This period of marking one year since Yaakov's passing has been hard for me, and all of you fans have helped so very much. Sending love and thanks, from Sali, the LSW

Wishing you Shabbat Shalom and a good weekend!

Building the New Middle East

Dry Bones Golden Oldies in the fond memory of Yaakov Kirschen (Dry Bones). This is a classic Dry Bones from 1991 based on a drawing by M.S. Escher

I am having a difficult time posting for the blog lately. It is not hard to find good cartoons, but it is hard for me emotionally to go through them. Also, the world situation is such a mess. I would rather skip watching any news these days. But I feel that I need to keep up with current events to be able to choose relevant cartoons. I think this is a very good one.

Much love and wishes for peace and for all of our hostages to be released NOW and for our soldiers to be safe.

Blessings to you all  and your family and loved ones, peace, health, happiness and freedom, love, Sali, the LSW (Long Suffering Wife)
