Shabbat Shalom and a new shaky ceasefire with Lebanon

 Shabbat Shalom! Israel now has a very shaky ceasefire with Lebanon. The Lebanese government has long been willing for better relations with Israel, but they are very weak and unable to control Hezbollah. So far, as I write this, we have had about 6 hours of quiet and no missile attacks from the north.  I hope that it will last. Yaakov had a saying once about these ceasefires. "we cease, and they fire". This has been true often in the past. Let's see. Hopefully the people in the north will have a quiet and peaceful Shabbat. They have been hammered with almost constant missile and drone attacks, even as we in the center, have had some rest and quiet for the last two weeks. Shabbat Shalom from Israel

 Well folks, we are supposedly in the beginning few days of a 2 week ceasefire.  The north of the country is still getting missiles from Hezbollah constantly. But in the center, we have had quiet, except for one siren last night from Iran's proxy, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Israel is fighting them back hard. But we are hearing lots of complaints from Iran and the international community about our continued fighting of Hezbollah.  It is yet to be seen how long this "sort of" ceasefire will last. But it has been refreshing and relaxing to have a few days and nights of less tension, of always being on the lookout, and of interrupted sleep with blasted warnings and sirens.  

So, I am hoping that all of us enjoy a peaceful and meaningful Shabbat.
