Historic Times (2003)

I did this cartoon ten years ago.

The situation today is not murky. It's clear. We are watching a world war between the Iranian Shia Islamists and the Arab Sunni Islamists.

Meanwhile, in Egypt:
After watching the Egyptian Revolution being sidetracked by a President who grabbed dictatorial power, I'm now watching the western media repeating the mantra that he was elected fairly and that the Egyptian army's having responded to the demands of the people was a "coup"!! The media is not covering the Egyptian story any better than they usually cover the situation here in Israel.

The People of Egypt

Twenty years ago this month, the world watched in disbelief at the takeover that brought about the unthinkable and incredible collapse of the Soviet Union.

So here we are twenty years later and the world is watching in disbelief at the takeovers that are bringing about the unthinkable and incredible collapse of the Arab dictators.

Which made me wonder about what revolution the world will be witnessing twenty years from now. ...in August 2031?!!

Nightmare Scenario

It's one AM.

Earlier, I saw a newscast of Gaddafi's insane ramblings about how Al Queda is behind the Libyan rebellion. Just before I trudged off to bed, I sketched this cartoon about what if Whacko Gaddafi were telling the truth and nobody believes him. I showed it to the LSW (Long Suffering Wife). She loved the cartoon. Which is why it is now one AM in the morning, she's asleep in bed, and I'm posting this cartoon instead of the one that was already done.
