It's a Bromance

Israel signed peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, hoping that they would lead to normal relations, based on acceptance of the Jewish State as a natural and native part of the region.
It didn't work.

Now, with the Saudis, we’re jumping straight to normal relations without the interference of an American President's dictates, directives, and demands.

His Victory Tour

What was to be a humiliating trip to the U.S. for Netanyahu (long uninvited to the White House) was somehow finessed into a kind of victory tour.

The opening event with Elon Musk was a triumph, and potentially, was the birth of a new partnership to face the challenges and opportunities of the fast-evolving future of Artificial Intelligence.
The Prime Minister's UN speech was classic Bibi.

When asked about "Normalization" with the Saudis, Netanyahu assured interviewers that it was a sure thing. And he did so with such a twinkle in his eye that I wondered if an agreement between Bibi and MBS had already been reached, in secret.

Thomas the Accuser

In response to reports of progress in "normalization" talks, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman has begged US President Joe Biden and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to not allow themselves to become Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s “useful idiots.” In his advice to Biden and the Saudi Prince, Friedman wrote, “You cannot have normalization with an Israeli government that is not normal. It will never be a stable US ally or Saudi partner. And right now, Israel’s government is not normal.” Friedman's attacks have evolved into an almost religious fervor. He has become "Thomas the Accuser"
