A year ago we changed address to pcllinkdump at gmail.com.

The old one which was associated with my username still gets almost all emails that should been sent to the blog. The address associated with my username is now my private address used for electronic communication with internet friends.

From now on If you send things to that old address intended to end up on PCL it will get deleted immediately. Now I'm f***ing tired of explaining where to send it/or unsubbing lists. If you send emails to that old address just means you haven't got a clue and haven't read the blog.

That means you are no friend of PCL.

Hi gangsters!

Just some words about commenting on PCL LinkDump.

Everyone is allowed to post a comment as long as they do not include links to sites WE do not want to see there. That means sites of no interest to the general PCL reader and sites with little or no relation to what we usually post here: the pop culture we love.
Everyone is allowed to comment as long as they keep an eye on their language and on the subject.
Everyone should also be aware of the fact that all comments are logged and that WE can see the IP adress and/or the IP adress range. You should also keep in mind that if you post anonymous and violating the rules above or just make us mad WE are able to ban you from future commenting.
You will not only be banned. WE will track you down. And after a time you will get a comment from the PCL management on your blog, social network account or in your mailbox. If we're good at finding good stuff links - WE are superior at tracking trolls or cowards down.
Critical comments about the posts are indeed welcome - and so are of course the nice and friendly comments. It's all about approaching the subject whith a decent attitude and common sense.

To put it short: WE more or less allow all comments except spam, porn links and agressive flame posts. But in the end it's our decision.

Keep it clean.

Comments gone (edit: up and running again)

At the moment the haloscan comment service which I use for PCL has stopped working. Hopefully comments will be up and running asap.
If not - I will think about uninstalling the haloscan widget and install the blogger comment feature instead. I hate to do that. I have been quite satisfied with haloscan this far. But with no possibility to post comments these pages stops being a real blog. Comments are important.

Any comments on that? Eh .. sorry ... forgot you're mute.

We have a new logo/masthead!
It was created by our great artistic team member Lex10.

I was running tired of the old one and thought it was time for a change.
We have also changed the label buttoms (but that is still a work in progress as long as the brainstorm continues to roar ...).

Some other changes will continue to roll out during the hours and days to come.

Updated (2 days later): No, perhaps his wasn't the most well-thought and precise email I ever written. Eh... NO.
I think the rum got me to think I actually was Jack Kerouac for a few inspiring moments. But I can now clearly see this assumption was based on false or no information at all.
But the foundation on which this "sprout" was build still stands.

3 years high and rising

3 years ago (too be a little more precise 3 years and 2 days has passed) this blog was born and deliverered PCL's first post.

As we can see by using the Wayback Machine the blog initially looked a little different back then. I think the design changed at least 7 times during the first year (see Nov 2004 - Feb 2005). And it was just little poor me from the start. But believe me when I say I did my best. 9 or 10 posts a day was not a rare thing in 2004-2005. I lived and breathed for this blog. No time spared.

Since then a lot of things have changed. PCL is not longer a solo effort - it is the work of a team. And I love it even more that way. Nowadays I am as much of a reader of PCL as I am a contributor. I love it. And I love my team mates.

PCL LinkDump is still here. And is still on top of the game. Delivering good pop cultural stuff with a twist almost everyday of the week.

So, site meter, the counter I have used here on PCL from the very beginning (since November 2005 I am also using Google Analytics) decided to quit on us 5 or 6 days ago,
It is now reading 991.334 ( so it has for a long while...).

So, i do not know for sure, but it looks like we have reached (or are in the process of docking anytime now)
