Platoon 5 Command Squad

I've really scrapped the bottom of the lead mountain for this squad, using left over parts from eBay purchases over the years. Tow Mordian Iron Guard troopers join the Talarn Captain, Arbites Enforcer and mechanic. Now off to purchase fifty plastic guardsmen.

Captain Al'rahem

Captain Al'rahem, the old Talarn Commander, he is going to help make up the command squad for 5th Platoon. Sorry for the crappy photo, really wish I was better at photography...

Talarn Squad

 Another Talarn squad (I think this is the third) made up of left over models, as a result it has duplicates, now while I know with the older metals duplicates are something that cant be avoided, having four of the same model is just a nightmare to my mind.

 The first rank is made up of the usual suspects, missile launcher and metagunner, two regualr gaurdsmen and a second Cadian Company Commander now demoted to squad sergeant.

Attack of the clones!!! the four duplicates....I tried to at least make one look a bit different by giving him a red turban, which still ties into the colors of the Albion 13th.

Imperial Guard Mortars

Talarn and Catachan mortar teams using spare bits and bobs yet again.

The full unit, quite happy with how these have turned out.

Talarn Trooper

This chap has been in a half painted state for about a year and a half, now finally finished.

I love this miniature, he just oozes coolness.

Talarn Squad

A squad of dersert raiders, this time in the regiments colours. The vox operator is a RT era Imperial Army radio man, and the Sgt is an old GW Judge Anderson, from the old Judge Dread range.

Commisar and Sniper

I managed to get hold of a few more Last Chancer models a few weeks back and the quickest to start and finish was the sniper Scope. Now all I need are three regular guardmen to finish the sniper squad.

For the Commisar I tried a new color scheme and to be honest Im not totally happy with it and dont think I'll paint many more officers all white, though there is a reason for his uniform color. I intend to have him join the Talarn command group i have sat waiting to be painted.

Talarn Squad

My desert raiders, I won these fellas during GW's White Dwarf 30th birthday party. I then painted them up and entered them in a painting competition in 2008 and came 3rd, as a result, Ive decided to not strip them and field them as is.
