Monthly Poll - Favorite Old School Module Round 3

Ok, so I'm way behind on this, so I should get right to the results...

For round three, you have chosen S4 - The Lost Cavern of Tsojcanth as your favorite old school module with a hefty 33% of the votes

In second place with 18% was B3 - Palace of the Silver Princess
3rd place was a try between the surprising underachiever D1-12 - Dragonlance Saga and I1 - Dwellers of the Forbidden City
4th place was held by N1 - Against the Cult of the Reptile God
For 5th place we have our first ever three way tie between H1-4 - Bloodstone, UK1 - Beyond the Crystal Cave and WG5 - Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure each with 3%
and in last place, sadly with 0.0% is EX1-2 - Wonderland Adventures. Clearly this was not one of TSR's more popular adventure concepts.

Be sure to vote in the Final Round of Favorite Old School Module to determine who the ultimate winner will be.

Monthly Poll - Favorite Old School Module Round 2

I got a couple of emails asking why I left out this module or that so I decided to do a little playoff between modules.

But before we get to that, we need to learn who won round 1.

Lets face it, this time it was sort of a run away win for your number 1 choice for Favorite Old School Module.

With more than twice the number of votes that any other module got, B1: Keep on the Borderlands walked away with the number one spot.

Tied for second with 13% is A1-4: the Slavers Series and D1-2,3: the Descent into the Depths Series

In third we have S2: White Plume Mountain with 11%

Forth place goes to G1-3: Against the Giants with 10%

Fifth place is another tie at 6% with S1: Tomb of Horrors and T1: The Village of Hommlet

Sixth place went to C2: The Ghost Tower of Inverness with 5%

and in last place for this round with only 3% is I3-5: The Pharaoh Series

Now, lets see who will win round 2 and face off against the current favorite for the Favorite Old School Module.

Monthly Poll - Favorite Old School Module

Stolen directly from Grognardia's web site
So much for January. That didn't take long.

Sort of a small turn out for last months Monthly Poll so this shouldn't take long.

In 1st place for the favorite "deceptive" creature with 36% of the votes was the Doppleganger

2nd Place goes to the Water Weird (one of my personal favorites)

3rd place is Gas Spore. I have to say here that I've never known a party to race forward to start hacking on a beholder, so the gas spore was never really that much of a surprise for them.

At 4th with 12% was the lovably mimic. Everyone loves a treasure chest with teeth!

in 5th with 4% was the Lurker Above and in dead last without a single vote was the forgettable Trapper.

This month we gonna find out which classic D&D module or series of modules was your favorite, either to play or to run. Or maybe its just the most memorable.

Monthly Poll - Favorite Deceptive Creature

Another poll comes to a close, so lets see how our favorite undead creatures stack up against one another.

First place goes to my favorite, the Lich with 27% of your votes

2nd place was a bit of a surprise to me, Skeletons rock the vote with a solid 23%

3rd place, with 20% of the votes is everyone's favorite grave robber, the Ghoul with 20%

4th place, with a shockingly low 10% is the Zombie

Checking in at 5th place with 9% of the votes is the Wraith

in 6th place with only 7% of all votes cast is the Vampire. I have a feeling our friendly neighborhood blood sucker suffered quite a bit in the polling from recent film adaptations (I'm looking at you Sparkly!)

and in last place, the bottom of the barrel with only 1, count them 1, very late vote is the Ghost. I have to say, the ghost would have been my least favorite too. They just seem a little dull. They serve better as a plot device rather than an adversary. Never failed, every time we faced off against a ghost it was when we had nothing that could even hit it.

So there you have it, your favorite undead. Make sure you tune in this month for your favorite Deceptive Creature. A creature that likes to appear as something other than what it really is.

Monthly Poll - Favorite Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon Character

Ok, that's it for the monthly poll of June. And here are the results...

#1 with 18% is Black Dragons, one of my personal favorites
#2 we have a tie at 13% between Red Dragons and Blue Dragons
#3 with 12% is Silver Dragons, our top good aligned dragon
#4 at 10% is White Dragons, my other personal favorite
#5 with 7% is the Chromatic Dragon. This was a surprise finish for me, I expected it to come in much higher.
#6 is another tie with 6% is Green Dragons and Gold Dragons
#7 is Copper Dragons with 4%
#8 our final tie at 3% we have Brass and Bronze Dragons
and surprisingly last with only 1 vote was the king of all good dragons, the Platinum dragon

Thanks for all the votes, make sure you vote again this month as we determine who our favorite cartoon character was from the popular 80's Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.

Monthly Poll - Favorite Dragon Type

Sort of an odd-ball poll this time. I was browsing my old Monster Manuals and noticed a disturbing trend of letting cats-walking-across-keyboards name monsters. So I wanted to see what people thought was the weirdest, and now I know.

With a dominating 60%, you, the people, have chosen Ixitxachitl as your weirdest monster name

2nd place belongs to Neo-Otyugh with 15%
3rd place with 9% is the beloved Vargouille
Tied for 4th with 6% are the Aurumvorax and Galeb Duhr
and in 5th we have Sahuagin with a mere 3%

Apparently everyone thought Couatl, Tarrasque and Thri-Kreen were normal enough to not warrant a vote, or Ixitxachitlwas just so weird it couldn't be passed up.

This month, lets hear what your favorite dragon type is.

Bi-Weekly Poll - Strangest Creature Name

A lot of votes this time for Favorite Post-Apocalyptic Scenario. Lets see who won...

With an impressive 34% most of you are hoping for a good old-fashioned Zombie Apocalypse to ravage the world and turn us all into gun-toting, hot rod driving, zombie vigilantes. Seems oddly appropriate being Zombie Awareness Month and all.

In 2nd place was Nuclear Holocaust with 27%. Here's to you Nuclear Irradiated Insects
3rd place belongs to Natural Global Disaster at 11%
4th place with 9% is a nice Dimensional Rift
tied for 5th with 6% was Vampire Overlords and Machine Uprising. I think we could have had a clear winner with Cyborg Vampire Overlords.
6th place belongs solely to Alien Invasion and 4%
and dead last with 0.0% is Conventional World War. So much for bullets and bombs. Clearly we need something other-worldly to shoot at once the world comes crashing down.

This Bi-Weekly Poll I wanted to revisit some of our long lost friends,:the slightly unused and highly un-pronounceable creatures with the Strangest Names

B-Weekly Poll - Favorite Post-Apocalyptic Scenario

Another poll is in the books. Lets see what you had to say about...

Favorite Wizard!

Our winner this month with 25% of the votes is...Gandalf!
Congratulations Gandalf, I'm sure you deserved it.

Coming in second, barely missing the top spot, is Merlin with 21%
Tied for third with 13% we have Mordenkainen and Raistlin
In forth place with 9% is Vecna
Fifth Place with 5% is Khelben Blackstaff
Sixth place is another tie with 3% staring Elminster and Dumbledore
and bringing up the rear with 0.0% is your favorite lich and mine...Azalin

I would like to give an honorable mention to Thoth-Amon who I somehow forgot to add to the list. I have a feeling he would have done rather well too.

This time on Bi-Weekly poll, we changing gears a little and going back to a genre I mentioned in a post earlier in the month: Post-Apocalyptic. More specifically, what is your favorite Post-Apocalyptic Scenario? If the world were to come crashing down tomorrow, and you were a survivor, what would you most like to deal with in terms of adventuring?

Bi-Weekly Poll - Favorite Wizard

We asked, you decided...

The most annoying monster ability for a hearty band of adventurers to face is none other than...

Level Drain with 51% of the vote (certainly one of my top 3 worst to face)

next came Paralysis with 17%
Psionics with 11%
a two way tie for 3rd with 8% is Invisibility and Regeneration
and last with registered votes was Summoning with 2%

Looks like people aren't too bothered by Reach, Damage Reduction, Spell Resistance, Disease or Teleportation.

Ok, for our next poll...Who is your Favorite Wizard?

Monthly Poll: Most Annoying Monster Ability

The polls have closed on another monthly poll and this one wasn't even close...

With an astounding 65% of the votes, you have decided that Dungeons & Dragons was your favorite TSR game.

In second place with 12% was Gamma World
8% of the voting, oddly enough, went to OTHER games in the TSR lineup. I would be curious to hear what those other games were. I have to imagine it was Revenge of the Snits  :)

Star Frontiers got 6%
Top Secret received 4%
Boot Hill and Marvel Super Heroes both garnered a pitiful 1 vote for 2% of the voting

Poor Ghostbusters struck out completely with 0%

This month, however, we may change format a bit and shorten the voting time for polls so that we can get to even more and exciting polls, so check back often to cast your votes.

This months poll? What is the most annoying monster ability for your character's to have to deal with?
