Well here he is, the final piece of the Lizardman puzzle....
I've had this model for ages, I don't even remember ever using him in battle, and the model itself has been superseded by a big plastic kit; but he is done, and thus ends the list of Lizardmen left to make the journey to my paint station.

Unit Fillers
Back so soon!
With end of Lizardmen painting getting closer, these unit fillers were finished a lot quicker than I anticipated.
These three fillers have been the only thing that have been keeping me from fielding a fully painted army during a Wednesday night of Warhammer.
Well they're done now, and work has begun on the Hero/Lord on Carnosaur

Cold Ones
After a month of being between jobs, and managing to paint a colossal amount of figures, I am now back to the more traditional fun of grabbing 30 minutes here or there during a weekday evening, and fitting in some hobby between chores on the weekend.
At the moment I am 'enjoying' the enviable position of not having a great deal of my collection left to paint; but this does mean that I am returning to paint some models I have had for a while, of which quite a few have been left because they were not high on my list of favourite models to do.
So here are the latest models to be completed, 16 Lizardmen Cold One Riders; including a Hero.
I cant say I enjoyed painting them, and they aren't some of my best work, but they'll do and at least they are out of the way.
Next on the table are three unit fillers for my Lizardmen army, and then a Hero/Lord on a Carnosaur.

Bastiladon
Once again another new model is finished before some of my older stuff.
Here is my Lizardman Bastiladon, its a darker green to the other monsters in my Lizard army, I blame all the Nurgle I've been doing recently...I'm very happy with the crystal which has come out better than I hoped it would.
Next on the paint station, the last 16 of my Skraeling...

Food + Fight part 2
A few more pictures from the battle....
The Lizard reserves appear from the flank
The failed critical last stand of the Slann and friends, as more reserves appear from the rear

Food + Fight
We had a big WFB battle, 6k Choas alliance took on 6k Lizard and Dwarf alliance in a battle to secure 3 mine shafts.
Although the Chaos forces were seriously reduced, they still managed to grab a 1-0 win when 6 turns of 'tourniment' play was over.
I started taking pictures at the beginning but didnt take any mid game shots ( I think Zed did)
Thanks goes out to the Zed family for allowing us to take over their house for a great days gaming and a magnificent spread....
The Dwarf Gunline awaits contact
The beasts sweep round the flank led by the Jabberwo...slythe...
The Slayers eye up their adversaries
The Lizardmen reserves
The Lizards enter on the right flank

Entering the Final Straight
Its been a while since i've posted anything here, well thats what moving house will do for you.
The lizards below were half done before the move and have been finished off after.
Only a unit of Cold One Riders and a Lord on Carnosaur left to do!!
Firstly a Skink Shamen with Cloak of Feathers

Then a Skink Cheif

And finally some Lizard and serpent swarms

Hide and Skink
Done a few more Lizards, his time half a dozen chameleon skinks.
Not very exciting photo and not very exciting models really.
I don't get how strapping a number of frogs to your body makes you blend in with the bushes!!
Just over 2 months til the big game and a still a few more bits and bobs to do.
Too many distractions about at the moment, including building some stuff for my Imperial Guard

Big and Small
The Lizard production continues, this time its 28 Skinks and 3 Kroxigor.
With a little conversion work the skinks have a command group using the chief and standard from the Stegadon box and a hand bell taken from the Flaggelants I am using to make my latest Blood Bowl team.
With still a good few months until the big 6k Lizard vs Skaven fight all I have left to paint is
6 Lizard swarms
15 Cold one Riders
Old Blood on Carnosaur
Skink Chief
Skink Priest
Old Blood on Cold one
Scar Veteran Battle Standard
The movement trays will be finshed once the army is done

Lizard Update - Zed Possessed

It's all I can think of, I must be possessed, with just the bases to do, this converted Lizard Blood Bowl team is nearly finished. It was only half built on Saturday morning and nearly finished by Sunday tea time. I've not sat and with a brush in my hand all of the time either. Weird.
If only I was going to the tournament..

Jungle is Massive
The Lizard production line just keeps on churning out stuff.
This month so far I have finished Stegadon number 2 which again is magnetised to be used as a normal Stegadon with giant bow, or to be crewed by a Skink Chief.

I wasnt planning to paint the Razordons for a few months but a spare afternoon and they were finished.

Im still hoping to be able to field a fully pained 6000pt army for the forthcoming Lizard vs Rat game.
Hmm photos are a little grainy, ah well....

1 Steg, 2 Steg, 3 Steg, ROAR!!
Continuing the Lizard painting means that this month I have managed to paint the 1st of my 2 Stegadons.
Cunningly using magnets I've got 3 varients of the Ancient Stegadon from one model.
An Ancient Stegadon

A Skink Chief on an Ancient Stegadon

A Skink Priest on an Engine of the Gods

And just for scale a new Steg alongside the old metal Steg

'Insert Lizard pun title here' Ok:- Scaling new heights? Tipping the Scales? Do you think they Saurus?
Well I finished my Tale of 4 Gamers stuff a week or so ago and as I'm still in the lizard painting mood I've done another unit.
I've had these built and undercoated for a good number of years and now they can join the ever increasing amount of Lizardmen I now have painted.
A 20 strong unit of Saurus with Hand Weapons, 3+ save in combat in the new army book so should get some use in the games to come.
And as Lordybloke would say 'they look alot better in the flesh than in the photo'

Guards!, Guards!
They think its all over......
6 months ago we started the tale of what would become 4 gamers and now I have a further 1000pts of painted lizards.
The last of my Temple Guard are done giving me overall about a 2000pt painted army.
Over the next 3 months I plan to paint 2 Stegadons, a unit of 26 skinks and 3 Kroxigor and a unit of 20 Saurus with hand weapons and shields. This should get me near a 3000 point painted army.
A full 1000pt army photo will follow soon.

Happy NewT Year
Well finished with 5 1/2 hours to go!
My quota for this month and next was 8 Temple Guard, so this month I did 10 and I shall do the same next month to finish off all the models I have built.
With the new Lizard book out in Feb this should cover me on any points changes that appear.
