Wow it's been a while since we/me/any of us posted properly on here but with the kick off of a new 40k campaign it seems to have sparked a resurgence in blogging.
As much as I normally always use my Crimson Fists for campaigns I've alsways had a love for the Space Wolfs so decided I'd get back to my small army (arond 2k when finished).
So here is my WIP....Rune Priest Sigfast Bjornsson
The basic model is coming from the standard Space Marine Librarian mainly becasue I think it's awesome.....with some little tweaks here and there I'm hoping to wolfy him up enough.
I've replaced the lower leg with a lower leg from a standard wolf leg as this has some runes already on it.
I've also been using the Space Wolf accessory kit for a change of head and a wolf totem for the head of the staff so far, I'll possibly be getting some aid from Big Papa (if he's up for it) for a few more fidely bits.
More pics to follow as he gets done.
p.s. if there are spelling mistakes........tough!!!

Me again.....
Right well I've actually been good, not only have I built stuff for the club I've even painted some of my marines.......Yes I know shock horror.......
In a previous post I put on the first 5 Sternguard and lo and behold I've finished the other 5 for the full squad.
Here's the full squad, they are ready for the table but all are needing the blue to be highlighted.
WIP and next on the list for my marines are Terminators, this is the first 5 of the close combat squad I have.....All in I have 20 Terminators, 10 standard and 10 close combat.

More for the table.........
Well here I am again with an update on the scenery that the club has recently purchased for DMH and 15mm WWII games (FoW & BG).
In the previous post you saw the start of my manic building as soon as I opened the box which contained the 4Ground DMH buildings, the next evening continued at the same sort of pace.....
First up the Sheriff's office inc the jail which has break out bits......
Next was the big Undertakers, this is a fantastic model with plastic windows and paper cut outs for the banners.
This stuff is from Commission Figurines, although there are only a few pieces to put together I found that these were a little more time consuming due to the need for a dry run first as some of the pegs that hold the buildings together needed to be trimmed a little, also the fact that they now need to be painted is a little annoying for me. 4Ground is ready to go once stuck. Still very good models and the detail is great just needs a little more on the inside, slightly better cut and a paint job. 9 of them built over two evenings.
Anyway that's it for laser cut buildings for the foreseeable future, it's back to the foam card Mordhiem buildings for me.......they should be done ready for the New Year.

These two take the building count to 6 for DMH which is great for the size of table needed.....must admit if 4Ground do a bank, hotel & railway station I'll be badgering the rest of the club to get those too......
As you can see the table looks good but with a few more feature buildings it would look great..
Finally the WIP 15mm stuff...

Paint Station.......
Well it's that time again, my painting head is back on and I must admit I've missed it. Sitting at my desk listening to tunes and painting models.....why don't I do it more often.
Anyway down to business, there is way to much stuff for me to say what I need to do so I'll simplify it. We've been having several games of WFB doubles to get Klepto and Binx ready for the doubles this weekend @GW HO, so Lordy and I have been trying out several different armies, I've used my Skaven & Orcs which is what brings out the below pic of finished models.
I've had these 3 Heresy Miniatures Trolls for several years and not really done much with them which is daft seeing as they are easy to paint, Wanted to get something under my belt and finished to put on here rather than just WIP stuff (I have way to much of that).
Now on to the WIP stuff, I've been collecting my Crimson Fists marines since....ummm....errr....well lets just say it's been a long time. The old codex introduced the new Vet squads of Sternguard and Vanguard, with that I decided to make my own Sternguard.
First 5 are table top ready, they just need the blue to be highlighted.
Second 5 are ready for detail highlights & basing ready for the table top.
Finally I got the standard bearer and apothecary up to TTS, to match the rest of the command squad.
Well that's me done for now, I'll be busy over the next few months as the club have decided we need to sort out the scenery, looking at repairs/redo's and new stuff, so you'll see a few posts from me as I stuck my hand up for the building of bits (can't paint scenery for toffee).

Dead Mans Hand......
Well it's about time I got back to posting, I've sort of been busy with houses moves etc etc blah blah blah....right enough of that and down to the fun bit.
With the introduction of DMH to the club I went for the wonderful looking Black Scorpian figures and had decided that I would go for the Outlaw gang so with those five and Tombstone2 I made a small gang.
I wanted to have a similar look to all the models so that you never know which one is doin the killin, if they all look the same you can't finger them in a lineup...
First up is the gang boss...

People Carrier......
Well look at me 2 blogs in the same month......
Well as the title says the need for a people carrier was needed for my Bolt Action Brits and thanks to Zed (and at some point in the future some sticking stuff together for him), this little beauty landed in my hands.

That was Wednesday night...........
Now on Thursday night................Tah Dah
Quick review, nice model, about the right size, very fiddly and lots of bits but still fun to put together.

More Buildings!!!
Right it's been a few weeks since my last post, but then that's the joy of moving. Anyway the reason for the post is simple really, with the amount of BA we've been playing and the up and coming big game the need for more buildings was needed.
Building 1, another pub/Inn....you can never have enough.
Building 1, another pub/Inn....you can never have enough.
Building 2, slightly larger town house.
Admittidly theye are using a large amount of the Mordhiem cardboard scenery but then why not. Both units are still in need of roofs (not sure what to do there, ideas welcome), then need sealing and undercoating to then be passed on to Jabba/Lordy for a nice paint job.
The final piece for now will be the town hall with clock tower......
Let me know what you think so far.

Commision & WIP
Me again, well we've had our 1st game of new 40k and a few nice little tweaks here and there so more games needed before we'll really know how good/bad the new system is.
Anyway enough random witterings and down to the fun stuff, the Lonewolves recently had a good deal with Triplehelix and were able to bolster our forces when we picked up the new rules and amonst it all were some more wolves for myself and 2!! yep thats right 2!! Stormtalons for Johnny Boy. As Mr T isn't one for sticking or painting I offerd up my services for this little job.

Mangled Putty
Mangler squigs - brilliant in the game, massively overpriced in the shop!
Solution - build your own!
These are very wip at the moment as the impetus has gone a little bit since the WFB campaign ended abruptly and the Empire book (amongst other systems) distracted me.
I'll get back to them at some point though!
Wire frame covered with clay and then used green and grey stuff for the face. They will have scales/spikes etc running down their back when they're finished along with various gobbos and snotties hanging off them, early days!

Wolf Time...
Me again with more stuff from my painting table.
Nearly finished Wolf Lord (that's what he is at the moment, may change with more games)
Wolf Priest more or less done...
And finally the Lone Wolf, mainly doing a few of the main models to see how the new paints work and getting an idea of how easy the grey is to do, gone for a nice dark grey not the silly blue grey the Space Wolves seem to have gone too these days.

Scenary WIP
Hello one and all, it's been a while since I have put anything on here so sorry if it doesn't work out right.
I've always wanted the club to start playing Mordhiem again for a few simple reasons: 1 only a few models to convert and paint (even I can do that), 2 it's an easy game to play from what I remember.
So with this in mind and the fact that some of the guys are play DH with fantasy scenery I thought it would be a good idea to look at getting a town built for multi use.
Having played Mordhiem in the past I still had the old cardboard buildings and put them to good use as templates for extra buildings.
All 3 of these houses are on the same sized base but as it's a town I thought a larger building would be needed for the local pub and thus building 4 was constructed.
So as a start for the clubs town it's going well, looking at getting about another 6 houses and a church with graveyard sorted. As and when this happens the blog will be updated.
