An Air Force major was arrested on the steps of the Capitol on Wednesday after calling for President Trump’s and Vice President Vance’s impeachments. Peaceful demonstrations are permitted on Capitol grounds, but a protester must remain alongside a member of Congress to speak openly from the steps. Originally, Air Force Maj. Jason Watson was accompanied by Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), who later left. Upon the lawmaker’s exit, Watson was directed to come off the steps or face arrest, U.S. Capitol Police told The Hill. Watson was then arrested for crowding, obstructing and incommoding, the authorities noted in a statement. “When the president of the United States orders military

More ignorance from the New York Times: “Without Climate Change, U.S. Heat Wave Called ‘Virtually Impossible.” Heat and humidity as severe, prolonged and far-reaching as this week’s would have been “virtually impossible” in the Northeast and eastern Canada before humans began warming the planet, a team of scientists said on Friday. *** To estimate how much climate change increased the likelihood of this week’s sweltering conditions, the scientists analyzed records of a measurement of heat stress called “wet bulb globe temperature,” a figure that accounts for humidity, wind and direct sunlight. Given that the heat wave is still unfolding, the researchers combined weather observations and forecast data. Of course they did.

Local law enforcement made a stunning 102 radio calls about then candidate Donald Trump’s would-be assassin lurking and taking his firing position at the 2024 Butler, Pennsylvania rally that almost took the president’s life — but the U.S. Secret Service didn’t hear a single one of them. On top of that, when agents at a command center finally got word Thomas Crooks had taken a firing position on top of a roof on the grounds, a Secret Service staffer resorted to searching Google for its location only 155 yards away, instead of just asking local authorities where that was. As the staffer searched, shots rang out and a bullet grazed Trump’s ear,

An incredible drone show, featuring pyrotechnics and symbols of America, illuminated the sky over North Richland Hills, Texas, on Thursday. During the show, which was held on Thursday, July 2, reportedly to avoid scheduling conflicts with World Cup events on Friday and Saturday, incredible drone formations showed George Washington, Uncle Sam, planes, rocket ships, a scene from the moon landing, and a bald eagle with fire shooting from its wings. The “pyro-drones” had “pyrotechnics mounted onto the drones,” according to Hayes Walsh with Sky Elements.

TALLAHASSEE, Florida — The Florida State Board of Education voted 6–1 on Tuesday to prohibit illegal immigrants from enrolling in the state’s 28 public colleges and adult education programs. Under the new policy, institutions within the Florida College System will only admit U.S. citizens or individuals lawfully present in the country. Applicants must attest to their legal status and provide supporting documentation before enrolling. The rule also applies to adult general education programs, including GED classes. This action builds on last year’s repeal of in-state tuition benefits for illegal immigrants. Governor Ron DeSantis and state leaders have stated that Florida’s public resources, funded by the state’s hardworking taxpayers,

A federal court has blocked the Trump administration from firing 19 intelligence officers assigned to DEI programs. (SNIP) In a 2-1 decision, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Trump administration’s firings were illegal because they did not allow for an appeal or the opportunity for the 19 intelligence officers to request a reassignment. The Court further ruled that the Trump administration illegally made the decision based on the anti-DEI executive order signed by President Donald Trump upon entering office rather than “workplace misconduct” or “performance concerns.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey celebrated Somali Independence Day. Sister city St. Paul, the state’s capital, raised the Somali flag over its City Hall in honor of Somali independence, a flag that looks suspiciously like the newly adopted Minnesota state flag. Odd. Surely a coincidence. The Twin Cities weren’t alone in their zeal to celebrate Somali independence. In a recent post, the Columbus, Ohio, Recreation and Parks Department touted plans to recognize the “unification of the Trust Territory of Somaliland and the State of Somaliland into the Somali Republic” in 1960. New York City’s Communist Twelver Shi’ite Mayor Zohran Mamdani has bestowed upon a waiting world his speech commemorating America’s 250th anniversary, and it is just as small, petty, grievance-laden, fantasy-based, and angry as you’d expect a speech from a man who hates America to be. The visual effect was even worse, as Mamdani delivered the speech while seated at a desk that seemed to be turned the wrong way around, while surrounded by a social studies-book array of glum-looking, unsmiling, unhappy people, all black and brown and hijabed and whatnot and all forlornly holding

As we move into this great weekend, a weekend that should be devoted to patriotic celebrations, fireworks, burgers on the grill and cold beers in the cooler, many of our major urban areas are instead having to worry about another wave of what's being euphemistically called "teen takeovers," or, in other words, riots, in which packs of feral youths invade the city streets, leaving destruction and mayhem in their wake. The cities affected are making an effort now to head these events off with a combination of technology and curfews. Will it work? That remains to be seen.

The Fourth of July is undoubtedly a special time for every American. It is an opportunity to reflect on the meaning and origin of American freedom. It is a day full of picnics, parades, barbecues, and fireworks. It is a highlight of patriotism and a celebration of proud sovereignty and independence. Two hundred and fifty years ago, July 4 wasn’t marked by the festivities we experience today. July 4, 1776, was mired in a time of uncertainty, sacrifice, fear, and desperation. Yet through all this, bravery, courage, and perseverance persisted, and a nation was born. There is no way we can put ourselves in the shoes of the American colonists,

We all know this country is great, despite what the blue-haired freaks and the liberal media clowns say. The World Cup has crushed any propaganda they had, as a) it’s now the most-attended tournament in FIFA history, and b) Europeans constantly post loving comments about the culture, the food, the hospitality, and the air conditioning. Oh, and Japanese fans are loving Texas barbecue. Yet in 1984, the Statue of Liberty underwent a renovation, leading to this iconic photo of a worker kissing Liberty's forehead. It wasn’t without risk.

This year’s America 250 celebrations are the biggest national celebration since the Bicentennial. We’re a much different nation than we were back then. Even a few years after Watergate and President Richard Nixon’s resignation, the urge to politicize everything just didn’t dominate people’s minds. I was only three in the summer of 1976, so my memories of the Bicentennial aren’t all that vivid. I remember seeing the logo everywhere and hearing people talk about it, but the only specific memory I have is seeing the parade of the tall ships on television. My mom said that the parade of ships is her only strong memory of the Bicentennial

As a result of third-world migration–some say, invasion–much of Western Europe is no longer recognizable. Mass third-world immigration is unpopular nearly everywhere, but European elites, being unhappy with their populaces, seem determined to replace them. Campaigners including Eva Vlaardingerbroek and Martin Sellner have proposed the Save Europe Act, which you can read about here. The proposal strikes me as entirely reasonable. It petitions the European Union to exercise its right of initiative to propose legislation that would declare a moratorium on non-European, non-Western immigration; fundamentally reform EU migration and asylum systems; ensure and accelerate the return of illegal migrants; establish an EU-wide framework to incentivize voluntary remigration; and remove
