My friend, Jodie aka Quest Wise, has started a new YouTube series on his channel and I wanted to give it a spotlight. He was gifted a huge collection of Heroclix that belonged to a local collector. Jodie then became the caretaker of the collection. In receiving the collection, Jodie learned more about his friend that passed on. In the series he's going to talk about learning about rediscovering his love of Heroclix, looking into the life of the man that collected the Heroclix, and also learning about some of the more obscure superhero lore related to the characters in the game.

#RPGaDay 2024 - Day 27
"Marvelous miniature"
I'm going to be cheeky with this one. This Wolverine Heroclix mini is quite marvelous. This was a promo figure based on What If... Vol. 1 No. 24 (What If... Wolverine Was Lord Of Vampires). The story isn't great, but it was one of the first What If stories I read when I was a kid and has stuck with me. I also figure this is a time to give a shout out to some OSR stats I did for this version of Wolverine. You can find them here.

My Gen Con Haul
I didn't go to Gen Con, but the amazing +David Coppoletti did. He picked up some goodies for me.

Dave picked up these two adventures and the Lamentations catalog for me. I'll do reviews of the books after I've read them.

More really cool swag he grabbed for me. I love weird west stuff, so even though I didn't know what Dark Trails was before today, I'm happy. Also , the DCC bookmark is a character sheet.

This is not technically from Gen Con, but it was in the Gen Con package he sent me. This is a trade we made for a Thing clix that he wanted.

Okay these definitely aren't from Gen Con, but they came in this week and I love them. If you want Light City stats for the Wolverine, check out this post, and if you want to include the Marvel Zombies virus in your Mutant Crawl Classics/Dungeon Crawl Classics game check out this post.

Deadlands Minis
If you don't mind painting your minis, Pinnacle has some great minis that are appropriate for Deadlands. They also have some great looking minis that you can grab with their The Sixth Gun kickstarter. They also sell Figure Flats, if you don't mind printing your minis.
I like the figure flats and I think Pinnacle's Deadlands line of miniatures look great. However, I want something solid and I suck at painting. Fortunately for me there are several Heroclix, Horroclix, and Mage Knight figures that would make great Deadlands minis. This is by no means a comprehensive list of all appropriate minis, but these are the ones that came to my mind.
The Bioshock Infinite Heroclix set has a great selection of minis that look great for Deadlands.
They have a nice mix of late 19th century/early 20th century garb with steampunk looking tech. You can buy the starter which has six of these figures for less that thirty dollars or pic up the blind single boosters. The Motorized Patriot gives me some great adventure ideas.
Need some tech? How about a tank mini to represent a secret USA or CSA project. The Mage Knight Dwarven Steam Behemoth Tank from 2001 would be a great miniature to use. You can get them relatively cheap on Ebay. I just snagged one for 11 dollars after shipping.
If you want a lady with little modesty, Deadpool's Outlaw is a good common clix.
If you have any suggestions link them in the comments.

Need abominations, Horrorclix has you covered, especially the Freak Show Set. Boosters and singles are relatively cheap.
But you're asking, what about more cowpokes? Well Freak Show has a few that are appropriate, but The Jonah Hex quick force gives you three more.
There have been a few Jonah Hex clix. The newest is a tournament exclusive, and will probably cost more than you want to drop but the original Hex mini from Collateral Damage looks cool and can be found for less than six.
If you have any suggestions link them in the comments.
