Update for Halloween

These are pictures of my oldest daughter Jaime who lives with her husband in Virginia. They are always having a fun time. Here she is dressed as a Pirate Woman.

Jaime took up fencing in College I wonder if she chased her husband around the house sword in hand. LOL LOL

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I couldn't let this day go by without wishing everyone a Happy Halloween. A beautiful day for it too.
I have been missing in action due to illness. My family has all come down with the H1N1 influenza and it has not been pretty around here. We are finally on the mend but still under quarantine and not feeling our best yet. Sometimes it feels like we will never feel well again but I know we will, with time.

I made up little Halloween bags for my grandkids that are still sick and added these little ornies as well. Not much but I hope it makes up a little for not being able to go Trick or Treating.

These ornies are from Prairie Schoolers Boo to you. They are just so cute, and stitched up pretty fast. They have just a stitch count of 42 by 32. I hope to stitch every single one. Not this year though.

I found this little pillow cover almost completed and decided to finish it. This design is from 2001 and I believe that is how long I have it in my UFO mountain err pile. LOL The words are all stitched with Glow in the dark thread. I have some buttons that I am going to add to it for added decoration and it will be put away for next years decorating. After today there will be more Halloween stitching for a few months anyway. I am so anxious to get started on Christmas Stitching.

Today is our grandson Anthony's very first Halloween and we won't get to see him in person but we are thinking of him. Katie sent me a picture of him all dressed up in his little Batman costume. He doesn't like that mask over his face though, thats okay who wants to cover up that sweet face anyway.

Hope you all have a spooky Halloween time today. I am going to be resting and probably watching scary movies on the TV.
Love to all xoxo

Can it really be November already? Love this time of year. All the holiday preparations. So much fun. I have loads of stitching to do and hope to get lots of it done/most of it done this month.

Thought I would share a picture of my grandchildren and two friends going trick or treating. I had to laugh at my Victoria with her hand inside her trick or treat bag, already sampling the goodies. They had a marvelous time.

We have a new addition to our happy family. A beautiful yellow Lab named Maya, she is just 6 months old and was given to us by a good friend. She didn't want to part with her but had to and I have promised to give her a good home and love her dearly, which is not hard to do. She is such a sweetie. So now we have 3 dogs, Nena, who is 9 months, Maya who is 6 months and my little Sparky who is 4 years old. I have been trying to take a picture of the 3 of them all together and it isn't easy. LOL everytime they are all near each other, they will start to play and jump around. I am working on it though. Hope to get them all together to take a nice picture of them for our Christmas cards. pictures for Christmas. Here is a picture of pretty Maya, isn't she a beauty and below is a picture of my Nena, another beauty. Its hard to see from the picture but she is double Maya's size. GULP!! and getting bigger and bigger.

This is Nena and Sparky snoozing away, looks like they are in a gypsy caravan. LOL
Some watchdogs.

GROSS ALERT GROSS ALERT!!!

Oh I had to share pics of this toy I bought. It is so gross, but I just had to buy it for my grandson who is at an age where he loves gross stuff. UGH. Do girls go through that too?? I don't remember, I was a girl once. Hmmmm
Its a little rubber skull and when you squeeze it, its eyeballs pop out and there is a red liquid like blood, but thats not the worse, if you squeeze it harder, there are things like yucky maggots in there too. BLECK!! hope I don't gross anyone out. I just thought it was so interesting.

I have been putting together the cutest Halloween Biscornu for a friend of mine, Janice. I just love it and will finish it up today. I will take a picture of it and send it home to her so she can have it in time for Halloween. That will be my last Halloween stitching for this year. I need to get moving on Christmas projects. I hope to make lots of ornies and a few gifts. Don't you just love this time of year. The stores are already starting to fill up with Christmas items. I know that lots of people don't like when stores display Christmas stuff too soon, but not me. I love it. Once Halloween is over, I consider it the Christmas season. I just love Christmas and Thanksgiving time and thanks to the Blogging community, I have gotten so many wonderful ideas about decorating and Christmas gifts. So much fun to read what others are creating.
