A Spooky Biscornu

I put this together for my friend Janice. I think its pretty cute, what do you think?

I have been wanting to share a picture of this biscornu that I stitched for my friend Siobhan, but wanted to make sure she received it first.

I have not been able to stitch much this week, but have managed to get quite a few nice new charts and the new Just Crosstitch Ornament Issue. I just love it and there are quite a few ornaments in there that I want to stitch.

Happy Saturday everyone. Its been a long hard week and I am pooped. Hope today to just do some relaxing and stitching. Thats what's on my agenda. Inspite of me being so busy this week I got a few breaks of absolute joy in them. I got 2 lovely stitched items in the mail from friends and I absolutely love them.
First I got this lovely pinkeep from Rachel at WillingHands.com It is my first ever pinkeep. I have wanted to make one for a long time so I was just thrilled to get one as a gift. it is just perfect. The color is so pretty and I just love how you stitched our names on the bottom. Thank you so very much, Rachel, I will treasure it always.
I was in a biscornu swap and I had sent one and completely forgot that I was going to get one in return. It came as a complete surprise to me when I received mine this week. How funny that is. I was so into making it that I forgot I would receive one also. What a lovely surprise I got from Robyn, who made me this delightful red biscornu. Its so pretty. My biscornu basket is filling up. Whoohoo!!


There are so many new goodies out this week and there are quite a few that I want. Like Workbasket Quaker Teddies, these are just so cute, I have to get them. I just ordered some fabric from Silkweavers called Days Gone By. I am looking forward to getting it and I am happy to say they wrote and said it was on its way. Can't wait. Isn't it pretty.

Then there is this lovely chart by FingerWorks about Whaling that I have to get. Lots of my relatives were whalers and fishermen so I think this would be a great tribute to my ancestry, even though I dislike fish and feel very sorry for the whales.


Well, I am off to go sit outside relax and maybe get some stitches in on Blackbirds Message which is coming along nicely. Here is my last pic of it. I just love the colors.

JUNE UPDATE

Can it really be June already. My goodness, this year is flying by. The last few days I have been just so enjoying the really nice warm weather. My husband and I sit outside a lot and love to watch our grandchildren playing in the sunshine. While sitting out there I like to work on small projects, like the biscornus. I finished another one yesterday, same as the last one but in a different color. I am so hooked on these little pillows. I just love how they look all put together, I am amazed by them.

I didn't stick to my rotation as I had planned, I added another Blackbird piece Bluebirds message as my 3rd in the rotation and I started it and instead of a few hours I couldn't put it down. LOL its such a happy piece. I need to get back to my mystery sampler though, I am two weeks behind now and my Villages.




Oh here is a picture of Moon Garden framed, isn't it beautiful? I just love the look of it. I am going to hang it in my bedroom.

I have been busy working on my biscornu exchange from one of my Yahoo Groups. I can't say who itis for but I will post a picture. It is made with Dinky Dye thread, a color called Yalling up that I purchased from Mary Kathryn at Handcrafts.com She was a great help to me picking out both design and thread.

I had some trouble taking pictures of it. Couldn't get them very clear, I was either too close or too far so didn't get a really good picture of it. But its really cute.
