I didn't like the extra attack, but figured treating it like I do two-weapon fighting might work.
A shield (not a buckler) will provide an AC bonus of +2. Furthermore, a Fighter may state he is foregoing his shield bonus to AC for the round and attempt a Shield Bash. His attack(s) for that round will be at +2 to hit. If a hit is scored, then the effective strike was made with the Shield on a roll of 1-2 on a d6 and will do 1d4 points of damage. On other notes, I'm not concerned with Nihilism, think the DCC has promise but looks too deadly, even at levels beyond 0, to make it my go-to D&D (love the art) and a hearty Congratulations to Pat of Henchman Abuse for releasing
