Welcome to the Marlow & District Railway Society

Founded in 1977, we are a group of railway enthusiasts based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and with members from as far afield as the USA.
Our activities include regular monthly meetings at the Bourne End Community Centre We also publish our own illustrated magazine The Marlow Donkey. Meetings are open to non-members, but why not join us? Click here to open the application form.

Our next public meeting will be on Thursday 16th July 2026 at 7:30pm. when Geoff Plumb will give a talk on "That Was The Year That Was ~ 1972".

We welcome back Geoff, who presented a snapshot of 1971 way back in 2024. Now Geoff looks at 1972, with many days out around and about, including UK scenes in Brighton, Bristol and the London area, among others. West Germany features quite strongly, and the main event sees a visit to South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique for a feast of steam, in repose and in action!
