Q: What does art mean to you?
In my unprofessional opinion the definition itself has changed a lot over time. Fun fact when cameras where first invention people believed it was the end of art as most paintings where attempting realism back then. Nowadays I think the definition is something made by a human by hand, I believe more unorthodox things such as cooking or coloring could fall under this.
Q: What type of historical fiction do you like?
It's been a hot second since I've consumed any historical fiction, last thing I remember seeing was a movie called Uprising (if I am correct) with my dad. He said it looked like something I would find interesting and I thought it was pretty good!! Most historical fiction I have consumed tends to be of the Medieval Europe or Edo Japan.
Q: What makes a good JRPG?
In most cases it changes from game to game, the easiest answer is to have a unique mechanic or two! Although my favorites are very similar in gameplay, with only one or two unique mechanics inside of battle. So I would say it's the art direction and writing. Whether it's surreal like Hylics or Earthbound, the fantasy with technological elements like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy X or even something like the Persona games I tend to gravitate towards style over substance with JRPGs!!
Q: How do you recently get interested in painting D&D miniatures?
I have been playing D&D for a few years now, I thought painted minis looked cool and wanted some for my D&D table. So I decided this year I'd give it a shot and it's been going pretty good so far!! The paint jobs are a little sloppy but generally look great.
Q: Why do you think your art style is inspired by Omori and Animal Crossing?
I draw eyes almost exactly like Omocat does when doing Omori art along with the proportions being similar to Omori, with my color pallette and certain expressions and even certain characters being based off of Animal Crossing. Mikey (the orange shirt guy) is directly based off my old Animal Crossing character!!
Q: Why would you like to do voice acting?
I get paid to yell emotionally.
(note about the voice acting answer, it's not just because I get paid to yell. For example I am a DM and a theatre kid, hence it seemed like a good fit for me.)
Q: How did you get interested in animating?
I don't know how accurate this is but when I was a kid I watched a lot of Disney and wanted to learn animation because of those old 2D animated Disney movies. When I saw old Youtube or Flash animations (eg. DingoDoodles and Homestar Runner) I realized I could actually do that!! I started animation in scratch and it was... A learning experience, when I moved to Krita so I could to proper frame by frame animation it was like a dream come true! (note: I learned how to draw because of animation)
Q: Your favourite food and drinks?
I have a hard time picking favorites, but my usual favorites are Spaghetti and Meatballs, Ramen Noodle Soup (the real stuff) and Sushi! When it comes to drinks I tend to go for Coffee or Root Beer. I'm not much of a soda guy and this might come as a surprise but you'll usually see me drinking water!
- Lightsaber duel
One time I was at a summer camp with my best friend (we where both teenagers) and we brought lightsabers to duel with. Little did we know two other guys also brought lightsabers leading to a 2v2
Q: What do you think about Star Wars?
I used to be a big fan as a kid but after The Force Awakens I began to loose interest, when the Last Jedi came out I was pretty disappointed, I ended up seeing the Return of Skywalker hoping it would be any better and after 'somehow palpatine returned' I groaned and realized it was going to be way worse! The last Star Wars thing I saw was the Mandolorian although I haven't seen anything past season 2
Q: What are your plans for the future?
That is a good question. One I don't have an answer too!!
