CHORDOSIS

So the future looks like an abandoned project to me I purchased this 3 years ago and since then no development has been done so much so that everyone thinks this is a finished project I am here hoping to light a fire under your a$$ you showed future content and had people put money down for a demo and a trailer if you wanted to abandon it you should have just thrown up the demo for money and not made it episodic. I hope this gets finished or at least a little further down the road because it's not okay and false advertisement it's a great demo but thats all it is at this point a proof of concept.

Will this game work on my 3050 pc?

Any chance we'll get a VR version anytime soon? I recently bought the game, played through the first 10 minutes and thought this would be perfect for VR. So I'm saving it for a while until a VR mode comes out. Fingers crossed.

Dont buy, game is dead

I really want to buy this game, but I don't understand if the game is full or there is more episodes coming? I don't want to play it now and then wait a year for the conclusion, if you know what I mean

For the people who say that the game is dead or is abandoned by the dev. This is Adam's(the dev) reply to a comment under "CHORDOSIS - OFFICIAL GAMEPLAY TRAILER" video on his YT channel, posted 2 weeks ago:

My source control says that I've been working on my game for the past 631 days for the almost 2 years since I started using source control for backups.
I'm still alone with CHORDOSIS, I still have no other large projects, I'm still really really hesitant on any kind voice acting, but also I really do love working on it almost every day.
I've revorked a lot, and the game is so far beyond of what I've uploaded as an "in dev" founders edition on itch.
I still want to strongly emphasize that if you own the founders edition on itch, youll get the full game as an update, with an additional founders episode. (but sooner or later I'll have to flag the current version as "legacy" cause my save system is also new)
I hope you (and all the 100s if not more) will enjoy what my vision is with CHORDOSIS, and what I'm pouring my heart into."

While he could be lying, I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt, considering he is a solo dev. Furthermore, many developers prefer to work 'quietly', without giving too much (or any) insight into development process (e.g. Team Cherry), so there's that.

STILL A CON... DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! Over 2 years I paid extra for the "Founders edition." Waste of money! For those saying... It's *Just* $5 or 10... Some of us paid $20 to be in the "Founders edition." Have our name in chapter 2.... Which is clearly a flat out lie. Adam responds on Reddit but won't give a update. Honestly... Being real : If this was on steam i'd have got my $20 back but since it's on this platform, nothing you can do.

Argue "Its only $5." All you want... But it leaves a sour taste in many of our mouths being lied to for one. Secondly for those genuine indie horror devs on here, who charge like $2 or above for their game... People will just not pay and do it for free due to the lack of trust in their games.

The arguement of "1 hour for $10." Na... That's not good. Emika games, Chilla arts, JustTomCGames,HitoriDeGames, TonyShoulders and many others charge less for 2-3 times the ammount of gameplay, are finished, and polished, also just good games in general.

Just hurts me as a streamer when people like this abuse the platform and gives others devs a bad name.

I bought the founders edition to this game almost 2 years ago now and there has not been a single addition to this since I purchased it. It is a real shame that I come back this much later and STILL see a founders edition being sold for a game that will never be completed but continues to advertise that it will be.

Do not waste your money on this "game". Until the dev comes out and speaks on why the heck he has been advertising "more to come" without adding anything more for this long. I will continue to drive people away from this game. It stinks of potential scam.

I come back to check if this was ever updated/completed every couple of months. Not even a word from the developer about the state of the game or it's future, now that's incredibly shameful for a dev actually selling their game on a page promising more to come. Hell I would rather him come on here and say "I fuckin gave up on the game, it's never being finished", deleting everything mentioning more to come, and just selling the first chapter as essentially a stand alone short experience with proofs of concept in the menu/inventory. I mean I reported all this to itch.io but I doubt they'll do anything to this page or Adam Dubi Games for falsely advertising. 

Great, short game. One hour of a really cool, polished experience. Some additional stuff hidden here and there, so it's cool to play it more than once.

I bought this game at the end of 2023, it's a shame that the game is just this short, but I know very well that making a larger product alone is a really difficult process. It's good to remember what empathy is and I know how the creative process can be difficult. I know how many things can go wrong while working on a video game. Believe or not, but a developer is also a human being. That's why I'm shocked that people are berating the author and constantly using the word “scam” - No, it is not a scam and you do not understand the definition of the term. It's a small, one-person project that maybe will be finished, maybe not, deal with it. It's not a crowd funding, you bought a product. You got an hour-long game for $10. No one yells "this is scam! It's not enough!" for David Szymanski's games with a similar price/amount of content.

If the developer has some personal problems I can see why he stopped checking this toxic place with all needy people yelling "scaaaaam" with some guys stalking him on reddit, and other weirdos with no life.

This game is really cool and looks great visually with AMAZING sound design and some pretty good gameplay + story to boot, however it's abandonware, so buy Chap. 1 at your own risk. The 2nd chapter that was supposedly "90% complete" has remained unfinished for about 2 years now (has been like this since I bought the 1st chapter in 2023) and Adam Dubi has been completely silent on the game as a whole when asked by fans about it, all while remaining active on socials like Reddit. Overall, It's a cool experience and I would even say (as a huge alien nerd) that this is probably the best alien horror game I've ever played, so it's unfortunate that it ended up being a scam by the dev Adam Dubi. Just be aware you are buying an unfinished game that will remain unfinished and is VERY short (it is essentially a tech demo, albeit a good one) so don't get too attached to it.
