Call for proposals: Advocacy & awareness campaigns in Syria

The selected CSOs will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing an original awareness campaign targeting online hate speech in Syria, including disinformation-related narratives;
- integrating and disseminating verified, fact-checked content produced within the project as part of their campaign outputs;
- developing campaign content in Arabic, suitable for online platforms and social media; include the dissemination of campaign contents to traditional media/ media outlets in Syria;
- documenting the campaign process, outputs, and measurable reach (incl. social media engagement and people reached for each publication/post);
- participating in DW Akademie organized training, mentoring, and coordination sessions throughout the campaign period;
- presenting the campaign results during a conference in Syria in spring 2027;
- submitting a final report and invoice upon campaign completion.
The project "Fill the Space: Ensuring information supply and media trust for stabilisation in Syria" is funded by the European Union and implemented by DW Akademie, in partnership with Fatabyyano. The project seeks to strengthen local media capacities, enhance fact-checking practices, and promote awareness-raising initiatives to combat disinformation in Syria.
