DW Akademie and its partners in Mexico and Central America have built a community of practice to strengthen media and information literacy (MIL). Their shared goal is to promote truthful information and critical thinking in an era of disinformation and polarization.

Partner organizations from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Mexico contribute diverse approaches shaped by local cultures, needs, and research. They develop guides, training programs, and dialogue spaces, including on emerging topics like AI.

Creative formats help engage younger audiences and translate complex research into accessible content. The collaboration allows partners to learn from one another, renew their practices, and amplify impact. This multisectoral effort fosters a healthier information ecosystem across the region.
