Toolkit: Identify, analyze, counter disinformation in Syria
Amid conflict and competing narratives, disinformation in Syria is driving fear, division and mistrust. This new toolkit in the Arabic language includes practical guidance for navigating these challenges and strengthens users’ ability to identify, analyze and counter false information. It brings together essential skills in Media and Information Literacy, ethical reporting, digital security and an understanding of gender‑based online violence. Drawing on real Syrian case studies and hands‑on exercises, it supports journalists and civil society actors in strengthening their verification skills, protecting their communities and promoting reliable information in one of the world’s most challenging information ecosystems.
