In Is This Seat Taken, the art of seating arrangements becomes an unexpectedly delightful puzzle. Finding everyone a place to sit seems simple but it becomes wonderfully complex when you realise everyone has strong feelings on their placements.

We knew we loved it when: We tried to seat a highly perfumed stranger next to a sensitive nose and watched the whole arrangement crumble. Is This Seat Taken is easy to learn, with levels ramping up in difficulty as you progress and people get pickier. Even as the seat-swapping assignments became harder to crack, we appreciated the slow-paced, cosy vibes. There are different solutions to the puzzles and it’s no problem to restart and try them again.

Our favourite moment: Getting to know the characters. We were invested in the charming story of the aspiring actor Nat, who is on a global adventure of self-discovery taking place between levels.

The biggest surprise: The characters in the game may seem a little picky at first, all with their different preferences and needs. But meeting so many of them made us think about how we can learn and respect boundaries of those around us, and also how to honour our own comforts.
