Please know that this software is intended to be used on computers that can run video games. While not graphic intensive it does use shaders, particle emitters and more game-like effects. Please try out the demo before purchasing.

What is Arcane Overlay?

Bring the magic of VTT effects to your physical battlemaps. Intentionally designed from the ground up to reduce the friction needed to cover your battlemaps in effects,  measurements, ping items & enemies and more. 

Fire, poison, lightning, ice and more can be spread across your terrain and minis bringing your table to life with zero distraction. With Arcane Overlay you apply the fire by the time you describe what that fireball hit. 

 What State is Arcane Overlay in?

Completely useable is being used at many TTRPG tables across the world! However feature incomplete. I am currently building the skeleton of the system from which I can add mountains of features and effects with more being added every week!

• Atmospheric Lighting
  • Apply highly customizable lights that turn your table from a TTRPG battlemap to a portal to a fantasy world. Light up a treasure chest with a golden beam, fill your dungeons with spooky glowing lights, make your taverns come to life with a flickering hearth and warm torchlight. Your imagination is the only limit to the uses of atmospheric lights.
  

• Day/Night Lighting
  • Light up your whole battlemap as if the sun shineth upon it. Morning, Day, Dusk and Night change your table's look and feel in an instant.

• Fog of War
  • Use your favorite dungeon tiles to build an amazing encounter, then fill it with atmospheric lights - Then block out each room with Fog of War and reveal it as the players enter and watch them light up, dripping with atmosphere.

As mentioned - what you see here are simply the bones. Dozens of more features and effects will be added over time. I also planning on setting up a kickstarter to raise funds to develop the software (including hiring artists to create some beautiful effects for the system)
