Update 0.22b - Bugfixes


Patch Notes 0.22b

  • Starsight now gains experience when using the skill in combat (can level up to 25)
  • Completely rewrote the stamina system that replaces TP. It should work correctly now. Max Stamina is 50 + Physical Fitness, plus 10 if you’ve eaten (breakfast or dinner, depending what time of day it is). Physical fitness also increases your stamina regen by 1 per 10 levels. Attacks in combat use stamina, as do some spells, but defending does not. Stamina regenerates the same as HP and MP do, every turn in combat and every 20 steps or so out of combat. The graphics might be a little off, because RPG Maker assumes max TP is 100, so if your max is below that then the bar won’t be full, and if it’s above 100 the bar will keep showing full until your current stamina is below 100.
  • Trying to train mana control in your room while over the cap for that activity no longer progresses time
  • Backing out of the menar wood crafting menu no longer uses up menar wood
  • If you’re a tough enough guy to beat the final encounter in the game for now, the loop now resets instead of letting you play on forever or until you manage to unalive yourself
  • All aloe plants now progress time when gathered
  • Removed an incorrect notification about Lumberjacking level when chopping down the World Tree sapling
  • Mrs Harris now knows what day it is, and whether Graham is a student, a lumberjack, or an independent adventurer
  • Removed duplicate entry in skill status list

I'm still having that same weird bug with version 0.22b... As soon as I load in a new save and he finishes talking, he immediately walks left into the bed pillow and refuses to move from that spot. I have no idea what could cause that dang it, I really wanted to try your game.

sounds like an input issue on your end. does the same thing happen if you start a new game?

Yes, it's done this every time I've tried playing your game, on two different computers from a clean install. One ran Windows 10, the other Windows 11. I've tried the regular ZIP file, and I've tried installing from the itch app. Guess I'm just cursed.

Yeah, sorry I can't help. I'm not aware of anyone else having that issue, it does sound like an input issue on your side though. You said you ran it on two different computers, were you using the same keyboard, or did you possibly have a controller plugged in?

actually, other question just to clarify - you said this happens when you load a save? like you can start a new game and play fine, but if you save and reload that's when you have the problem? or does that happen in any game state?

Any game state. No other game or program registers an input like this. I want to say same peripherals between pcs? Two keyboards, a gamepad, and a mouse. All work as designed with no weird behavior, and have up to date software.
