Inspired by Dungeon Meshi, we put together a small prototype for an incremental game about cooking monsters deep in a dungeon.

This is a very early build, and we’re mainly releasing it to see if there’s interest in a game like this and to gather feedback. Things are still rough around the edges, but we hope you enjoy checking it out!

Fun little demo.

Main feedback is that I wish there was more to do in the cooking segment while waiting for things to cook.

This is really cute :) I love the loop and it’s oddly addicting.

Small things:

  • I took about 4 minutes at the beginning trying to figure out what to click because nothing was working, then I discovered I had to use wasd LOL.
  • In-game, I’d love the timer to be about 10x bigger so I can see it as I wander around and kill mushrooms.

Thanks for the feedback! We’re planning to add some kind of tutorial soon. We’re still deciding whether it should be a pop-up window or an in-game indicator.

It's really beautiful, and fun in its simplicity.

Here's a list of things I'd improve:

1) Add lighting and focus on the environment

2) Add people who come and pay for the plates

3) Add the joystick

4) Most importantly: make sure that if you don't move the mouse, the axe's action area doesn't rotate. To improve the game feel.

It's short but impactful.

Incredibly fun, the full version is looking like it'll be a must-buy for me.

This was a lot of fun. It would be great to see it expanded upon.

A really fun little game! Weirdly addictive. Didn't expect to get so invested in this
