PROMYS Counselor

Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS), 2025

I spent the summer working with advanced high school students on number theory. I guided a small group of first-year number theory students by attending daily lectures, giving feedback on daily problem sets, and holding daily meetings to discuss content and ideas.

I also mentored a group of four first-year students in a research project on number-theoretic patterns in Pascal’s Triangle. I wrote and delivered talks for students and other counselors on topics including proof-writing, category theory, homological algebra, and rational points on elliptic curves. Finally, I helped organize extracurriculars, including coaching an ultimate frisbee team.
