  • We’ve published new documentation on Tiered Employer Matching, including detailed examples of common match structures and supported providers. The guide also explains how to convert a tiered match formula (e.g. 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%) into a single employer contribution percentage when a provider only supports flat matches.

What is new

  
  • Multi-entity mode is now available! This means that employers with multiple entities can select one or many entities to connect during authentication, and all entities can be managed through a single Finch Connection. To get started, please complete this form. There is a short migration process required for customers with existing connections.

What has improved

  
  • Finch now supports tiered employer contributions for 401(k), 401(k) Roth, 403(b), 403(b) Roth, HSA, and simple IRAs in Gusto. For example, an employer using Gusto can match $1 for every $1 an employee contributes to their 401(k) up to the first 3% of their salary, and then match $0.50 cents for every $1 on the next 2%.
  • Finch now supports employee catch-ups for 401(k) Roth deductions in Quickbooks Online Payroll.

  • Finch now supports employment_status for ADP Run, ADP Totalsource, Justworks, Paychex Flex, Paycor, Paylocity, UKG Pro, and UKG Ready under the /employment endpoint. This field offers detailed employment statuses such as active, deceased, leave, retired, and terminated.
 

What has improved

  
  • We now support 1099 compensation data for contractors in ADP Run! You will see that our /pay-statement endpoints now return information for contractors with TINs.
  • We’ve made some improvements to our Help Center! These changes are mostly behind the scenes, but you may notice some improvements to the look and feel. If you have any trouble accessing the Help Center or finding an article you had access to previously, please reach out.

  • Finch has officially ended support for static Finch Connect URLs. These URLs will now show an error message in Finch Connect: “This link is no longer active. Please reach out to the organization that provided it to request a new one.” If you see this error, please reach out to developers@tryfinch.com or your Account Manager for support.

What is new

  
  • We’ve released two new major versions of our frontend SDKs, JS SDK v2.0.0 and React SDK v4.0.0. In order to take advantage of the new versions, you will need to have session ID enabled.
    • React + JS SDKs: initialize now accepts only callback methods. Passing client_id or other values here is no longer supported.
    • React + JS SDKs: open now requires a session_id.
    • JS SDK only: state and zIndex can also be passed into open if desired (React SDK already supported).

  • Our UKG Pro integration now supports making changes to custom_post_tax deductions! You can enroll individuals and register existing deductions in UKG Pro with Finch.

  • Our ECCA integration is now Automated! Organization and Pay data will now be refreshed daily.
  • We’ve added a timestamp to the “Disconnected” tab on the Connections page in the Dashboard so you can now see exactly when a connection was disconnected. This makes it easier to track connection history and manage usage over time.
