The ability to use the names of numerical fields as row or column headers. In Tableau, this is a generated measure names field that can be placed in the row or columns section of a matrix.
An example application of this would be a KPI table with time periods for column names, and the names of the different KPIs as row headers with the numbers in the values in the body of the table. An example is given below where sales and revenue are the names of fields that are then summed up for the designated time period. The time periods would be themselves entries in a field.
