GUI Essential is a starter package to build User Interface design for your indie games.
There are more than 800 assets such as Basic, Paper, Wood, Stone, Metal, Hologram, and Custom themes. They all come with various small elements such as buttons, scrollbars, icons, etc.
Besides that, this pack also included an original font created by me, the Toriko Font.
You can use the 9-slicing Sprites technique in Unity to create a resizeable form, this asset uses 32x32 size.
Each theme included frames, slots, banners, bars, fills, selects, icons, scrollbars, knobs, sliders, dropdowns, text fields, and buttons.
Each theme comes with selection animation and button animation.
All files are provided in Aseprite and PNG formats.
For your convenience, each theme is exported in one full sprite sheet.

Hey man, hope you're doing well! I'd really like to purchase your assets (the Bookstyles pack and the Complete UI pack), but I'm having trouble with PayPal. Unfortunately, PayPal is quite problematic for international payments from Brazil, even though the price itself isn't an issue for me.

Yes, unfortunately I'm having the same issue. PayPal in Brazil is one of the worst payment services here and it often causes problems. Do you have another way for us to handle this? I can send you the payment via PayPal, and then you could send me the files/assets.
Hello, I went to re-download this as it says I purchased it before but it is only giving me access to the free version to re-download.
Hi, I am sorry for the trouble. I have re-open the old file v2.3 could you check if your account is accessable? maybe because recently I have uploaded a new file to the project page with a new price tag, and I hide the old download file. I guess that's why the issue occured and many people is facing it could not download their purchased pack, because it was still attached to the old file link for those who purchased the old one. But now I have shown/open it again.

Yeah, I can download it. But I am confused, is there no access to updates to the pack? Do I have to buy it again to get updates or newer versions?
Old version is $3.5 and new version is $3.9 because of this increased price if you bought the project with minimum price of let's say $10 it will covered any current or future files inside the project that with the price tag below $10. I guess this is how the Itch.io project system works. So if you bought $3.5 at the first time for the whole project and if there is a new file with higher price tag uploaded or the current file price tag changed to higher value than $3.5 it will not able to be accessed by the buyer.
So the only way to solve this is if the buyer always wants to get the latest version with the same/old price tag, the seller must not changed the original price tag or increase it. Since the seller wants to have increased price due to the increased amount of contents, the seller can provide a new seperated download file from the original file. Because of this, now the project has two download versions with two different price tag.
For new customers, they can choose whether wants to buy the old version with less contents or new one with much more content with a higher price. For old customer who have purchased it before, it depends on whether they have purchased it with higher price or the exact same price, it's always better to buy for a higher price at the beginning to prevent any locked future contents with high price tag.
There is a workaround on this system to get a better value, if you bought the asset pack inside a bundle sale and let's say the bundle is $10, and now with that price tag can apply to all the projects that you bought inside that bundle. Therefore you can access the files inside a project if their price tag is less than $10.

Recently I increased the price up a little bit from $3.5 to $3.9, perhaps that's the reason because the customers paid the lower price previously than the current price tag. Maybe this is how from itch.io system work, the customers must paid same or higher price of the package/bundle in one transaction, to avoid any price tag increases in the future from the seller. For example if you bought a bundle for $10 and one of the package inside is $4 you still can download it because it passed the limit even though one of the package increased into $5 or $9 in the future. But if you only bought 1 package only with $3 (let say the original price) at that time and now the package price is $3.5 there is a chance you need to buy it again with the new price or higher. I know this is strange and this matter should bring into Itch.io
Please let me know if you remember, did you buy a bundle or just this package? how much did you bought at that time?

Hi I just bought this package bu I didn't found the glass package
there are only 3 packges
What are the three packages you were seeing? Maybe there was a chance that an antivirus delete those files? I have never put 3 packages.
I have checked just now, the package file (Version 2.3) is fine and all the assets (12 Themes) are inside. Only the free version has one theme (Flat Theme). Also the zip file(full version) should have at least 1.54MB
yep I downloaded the complete 2.3version. And don't know why the zipfile only 1MB...

Normally, you can purchase with Paypal with cards in itch.io or perhaps there is some restricted in your debit card, mostly using a credit card without issue but, some debit card has some limitation in online shopping. I think there is an option to buy with card inside the Paypal, and yes you can still access your bought assets in the future.

I think you can use debit card or credit card through Paypal, there is an option inside after you click the Paypal icon. It’s going to ask whether you want to log in with Paypal account or pay with card instead, click pay with card and maybe it will work. Please let me know if you succeed.

I am sorry to hear that, it is unfortunate not to able to use cards due to a restricted region or not being supported yet in my country. And a small question: could you please explain me button animation/states a bit more? The lock state - what you design to use it for (it doesn't look like disabled for me)?

Thank you for purchasing my pack I am glad you enjoyed it.
The button animation comes with three behaviors, pressed, locked, and unlocked. You can check them inside the Aseprite file (need the Aseprite software) on the Tag names to see which one they are and what they do. Or you can check their names inside the Sprites folder too. The lock state has 2 types, locked and released, when you use them inside your engine, do not loop them but instead play it once so it will stay still at the last frame.
And what if I bought your asset on this site (https://www.gamedevmarket.net/asset/complete-gui-essential-pack) because I had the same problem, that I didn't have PayPal, and could only pay through a bank card. If you update the asset in the future and add new content to it, will the updated version be available for download from this site or will I have to buy it again?
Yes, I will update the new version as well on the GameDevMarket same as in Itch.io and I think you won't need to pay again for future updates, you can redownload again on that site to get the latest version. But keep in mind, whenever I update my pack to the newer version on GameDevMarket will put on hold on my request for a review, so therefore the update won't be the same day published as in itch.io (usually takes a day or several days).

I plan on publishing my game's source code and art assets. From the license, it sounds like I'll be okay as long as I include a link to this page, but there's the possibility of someone lifting the assets from my game instead of buying them. Would it be fine if I just add a README file asking people not to?
As shown in the license, you are able to share and redistribute my assets, but it will be nice and appreciated if you could include my product link or credit my name inside your game’s credits section or the README file.
Does either version contains a tutorial on how to use each component in unity ?
Unfortunately there is no tutorials inside both version, I apologize for the inconvenient. I will consider making one in the future update. In the meantime, I can suggest finding them in YT on how to use Sprites and UI stuff.

I haven't used it yet but it looks amazing. I am currently making a 3D indie horror game, in the game you can access computers, and some computers will have mini games to play, and I am going to use these sprite packs for some of the mini games.
That is interesting, what is the theme of your mini games you want to use? Perhaps it could be an inspiration for me.
I have a couple of ideas. I found some assets on itch for PS1 type games so an original doom parody was one of my ideas. For that I was thinking the metallic theme. Another idea was a strategy game where you place different kinds of units like tanks soldiers and other military types for this I thought your paper or wooden themes. And the last idea was a futuristic rouge-like using pixel art. This one I think should be the hologram theme.
