When ownership of a building in a BEPS Compliance Cycle is changing, DOEE must be notified. The buyer must notify DOEE within sixty (60) days of the closing of the sale by submitting this completed form. Failure to notify DOEE may result in civil infractions or affect the new owner’s ability to request Pathway changes or a delay of compliance.
Both the buyer and the seller should sign a Change of Ownership Disclosure Acknowledgement Letter, available on this Knowledgebase article, to verify that all requirements of the seller have been met. The buyer should provide a copy of the signed letter to DOEE through the Portal within sixty (60) days of the closing of sale.
