Infinite Loop Europe plans a nine-figure PET #recycling investment at BASF’s #Schwarzheide site, creating about 150 new jobs and accelerating the Lausitz region’s industrial transition to a circular economy.   The planned facility in the Industriepark Lausitz will use advanced chemical recycling to convert PET waste and polyester fibers from bottles, packaging, clothing, and carpets back into monomers. This enables repolymerization into virgin-quality #PET and polyester made entirely from recycled feedstock.   Germany Trade & Invest helped convince the Canadian-French company to pick Germany.
