(KOR follows) 🌍 TÜV SÜD Korea Launches New Training Programs on “SBTi” and “UN-R21 Vehicle Safety Regulation” TÜV SÜD Korea will officially launch two new training programs this November to support companies in preparing for Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approval and strengthening their compliance capabilities with European vehicle safety regulation UN-R21 (Interior Fittings). The new programs have been developed to help domestic companies proactively respond to rapidly evolving global climate regulations and automotive safety standards, aligning their practices with international requirements. Leveraging TÜV SÜD’s global network and long-standing verification expertise, TÜV SÜD Korea continues to expand its specialized training portfolio that strengthens both ESG operational competence and product safety assurance. Recent updates such as the publication of ISO 14068-1 (Carbon Neutrality Verification Standard) and the revision of SBTi Version 2.0 have been reflected to ensure relevance and practical value for industry professionals. Building on these initiatives, TÜV SÜD Korea plans to introduce additional industry-specific programs across manufacturing, chemical, electronics, and logistics sectors, along with advanced courses focusing on SBTi verification readiness and carbon-neutrality expertise development. 🌏 Laura’s Globetrotter Journey – China Edition Over the past 10 weeks, Laura had the incredible opportunity to live and work in two of China’s most vibrant cities: Beijing and Shanghai. ✨ Beijing Highlights Laura spent the first five weeks in Beijing, where her professional highlight was a Campus Talk at Union University – a university for students with hearing impairments. Together with her team, she introduced the company and shared insights into initiatives in Germany. A particularly moving moment was when the students taught them Chinese Sign Language – a truly unforgettable experience. On a personal level, Laura was deeply impressed by her visit to the Great Wall in Mutianyu. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it lived up to its reputation: thousands of steps, breathtaking nature, and an overwhelming sense of history. It was also quite the workout – with uneven steps and sections that required climbing! 🏙️ New Chapter in Shanghai Now in her second five-week stretch, Laura is based in Shanghai. The office here is located in a modern skyscraper and is significantly larger than the one in Beijing. She’s currently getting to know the various teams and their responsibilities – a great opportunity to broaden her understanding of the organization. 🍜 Foodie Adventures One thing Laura is thoroughly enjoying in both cities is the amazing food and drinks. Everything she’s tried so far has been delicious, and she’s getting better every day at using chopsticks.
