Sponsor PdfDing

PdfDing is an open source project and its code & container images are provided for free, without any strings attached. The project originally started as a personal solution for viewing PDFs seamlessly on multiple devices. Since then the scope has grown a lot and by now maintaining and improving PdfDing requires a lot of time. Sponsoring enables the maintainer to spend more time on developing PdfDing.

Note

PdfDing is proud to be open source. It is dedicated to being a superb solution for everyone regardless of monetary means. A server is all that's needed.

Sponsorship Options

Currently, donations can be provided directly to the creator of PdfDing in the following ways:

  • GitHub Sponsors - Requires a GitHub account
  • KoFi - Supports payment via PayPal or by card (Stripe).

Tip

The Supporter tiers will, amongst other benefits, remove everything sponsorship related from the app forever.

Sponsorships for Companies

Both available sponsorship options - GitHub Sponsors and KoFi - offer the company tiers Bronze, Silver and Gold. These tiers allow sponsoring companies to have their logos shown on the project website, the documentation and the project readme.

Sponsorship Terms

  • The project maintainer reserves the right to reject displaying your company's logo if the company does not align with PdfDing's values or is not suitable for its audience. Examples include crypto, gambling, adult entertainment, etc...
  • Reach out via email if you want to make sure that your company does not belong to the above mentioned categories as it is not always possible to refund a payment via our sponsorship options.
  • Sponsor logo additions/removals may be delayed to be part of other site/project updates.
  • The provided logos may be modified in order to guarantee a standardized way for displaying logos across the various pages.
  • Additional advertisement, marketing or messaging content is not allowed to be part of the provided logos.

What happens with my sponsorship?

The majority of all sponsorships are used for supporting the living costs of the project creator, Marcel, so he can devote as much time as possible to PdfDing. A portion of the donations are forwarded to other open source projects, many of which are projects that PdfDing depends on. Another portion will be used to pay the project's reoccurring cost such as hosting and domain registration.

Do I need to sponsor PdfDing?

Nope. PdfDing is free and open source software. Therefore, you are free to use it irrespective of any sponsorship. Having said that donations are highly appreciated and help to make the project more sustainable. They also are an easy way to show appreciation to the developer of PdfDing.

Can I support PdfDing in a non-monetary way?

Yes, absolutely! Take a look at the Contributing page. There are a couple of ways to help the project, even if you are not a developer.
