Outcomes

By the end of the session, you will:

  • Understand the role of the IOP
  • Identify how the IOP can support non-specialist physics teachers
  • Find support and resources for practical physics education

Session information

This session will give you a brief introduction to the IOP and its mission to engage more people with physics. As all science teachers teach some physics, you will explore a range of freely available resources and training opportunities. This includes support for non-specialists and practical classroom materials designed to build confidence in teaching physics.

This is part of the early career teacher support series. View all sessions in this series. The series is fully funded, delivered online and aimed at early career teachers (up to five years’ experience), with value for all science teachers seeking a refresher.

This session is developed in line with our professional development standards.
