
Ian Carpenter
Ian trained as a chemistry/science teacher at the University of Edinburgh.
He completed an undergraduate chemistry degree at the University of Reading, before finishing a PhD at the University of St Andrews, researching the use of homogenous catalysts for organic synthesis. After his PhD, he worked in the energy sector for several years researching chemicals methods to prevent corrosion and inorganic scaling. Recently he has taken the plunge into secondary education.
