
Lucy Wallis
Lucy is an experienced secondary school chemistry and science teacher with a strong commitment to fostering academic excellence and professional development. She is currently an assistant headteacher at Stretford Grammar School in Trafford, Manchester.
Lucy has extensive experience mentoring trainee and early career teachers and has trained as an instructional coach for both the Department for Education and the Chartered College of Teaching. A passionate advocate for formative assessment, Lucy focuses on making assessments more effective in the classroom, while striving to reduce teacher workload and make feedback more impactful for students. She develops tailored resources for her students and department that support metacognitive skills, ultimately empowering students to become excellent learners.
Outside of her teaching career, Lucy enjoys walking in the hills and spending time with her children, mostly ferrying them to various extracurricular activities.
