The team behind Education in Chemistry publishes a collection of articles written by teachers and trainers for new science teachers

Kickstart your science teaching career is a carefully curated collection of articles dedicated to new science teachers. The collection appears together online and in print.

What’s included?

Kickstart your science teaching career is written by authors who all know what it’s like to face a room of learners

Produced by the team behind Education in Chemistry and colleagues in the Education Communities team, the publication aims to support aspiring, training and newly-qualified science teachers. It also introduces them to the breadth and depth of classroom resources, practical videos, teacher support sessions, PD and events provided by RSC Education. Every article also signposts further reading, classroom-ready activities to download or events to attend.

Kickstart your science teaching career brings together specially commissioned articles and existing content written by teachers and trainers. Some of the authors are relatively new to the profession; some have years of experience. But they all know what it’s like to face a classroom full of learners. And, here, they all generously share their tips and advice – including how to avoid common pitfalls.

In the next academic year, RSC education coordinators will take the print publication to ITT/E providers and SCITTs across the nations.
