I try to keep a tradition of writing up a recap of sorts at the end of the year, and to be honest, for the first time since I started doing these I have no idea where to even begin. 2025 has been a crazy eventful year for me for many reasons, and summarizing that is proving to be difficult for me. In the interest of keeping up with doing these yearly posts, I am going to try my best to touch on some stuff! I'm not sure the amount of detail I'll go into simply because nowadays I try to maintain a stronger level of distance between myself and what I'm sharing & presenting to the internet. So, Sorry if its a bit short!

Paradoxically I do want to post more, I think its more down to what I specifically share, and honestly it will probably manifest in a way that is difficult to discern from an outside perspective, making not much of a difference to you. It matters to me though, and thats all that really matters here (ノ_<。)ヾ(´ ▽ ` )

Pajama Girl

Pajama girl was easily a major Highlight for me, if not THE major highlight! I spent a long time working on this project to try and create something special, me and the rest of the team had a strong vision for this and I think we achieved exactly what we were going for.

I've said in previous posts about the original creepypasta collab game that I wanted to do something interesting if I was gonna make a collab game, and I hope that desire has shown through in the ones that I've done, and especially here with Pajama Girl more than anything. A lot of the reason the collab is presented the way it is just comes down to this desire to make any of this worth your time. Whether you are a contributor, a player, one of the people who helped with the project directly, I wanted it to be worth your time to engage with it or care about it.

Every aspect of the game was created with the collab aspect in mind, the world, the characters, the story, and atmosphere, all guided by the idea that this is the structure built around these stories people from across the community made for it. I wanted to create a world & story that emphasized the themes of the whole event and my feelings on all this internet art junk, Which I could just spell out for you but that would be taking the fun away from the interpretive process of art, wouldn't it? :P

Generally, I didn't like the idea of just making a fancy menu to listen to all the submissions back with the first one, I could've just done that and left it there but I don't know man, that doesn't sit right with me. A bunch of folks making something for an event and all I do is hand em off?? I don't take any issue with collabs or events who structure themselves like that but for me if I'm gonna ask people to spend their time and effort to make something for me with no money involved or anything, I want to "make something in return" I guess. I hope the effort paid off and what we did here is connecting with the right folks, if you've played the game I'd love to know what you thought about it :)

On a more personal note, this game is indefinitely marking the end of me hosting collab events & jams, at least ones with this kind of effort going into them. It may be cheesy to admit but with Pajama Girl I pretty much achieved exactly what I wanted to achieve with the previous collab games I made, All there would be left to do is just this but better but I'll leave that to other collab hosts, make something cool with your event! (The Recent 30th anni collab is a great example) If I ever do another Creepypasta Event, It'll probably end up being an expansion of sorts to Pajama Girl, maybe another building with a new set of tapes... That could be fun! No promises though! I'm not sure if there's even a want for that. I have so much cool original non-collab stuff in the pipeline that I can't wait to share with everyone, I hope that Pajama Girl, at the very least, showed that I'm for real about this shit. Much love to the collab scene on here, I'm always happy to contribute!

Once more I want to extend a hand of gratitude to the rest of the team and everyone who contributed a story to the game, this project wouldn't exist with you guys! Please check out everyone I worked with on this they are beyond talented and I am so so so grateful to work with them:

Like usual I made a point to head out and see a bunch of friends, that tradition shall never die as long as I have a say in the matter. So many flights, but so so worth it! If it's within your means I implore you to spend more time outside this computer box, I love the internet and the online communities I call home but there's nothing like a good in-person face to face hangout. Its hard to find friends as an adult, my strat has been bars and concerts and its been working out for me.

Bummed there was no TMG meet this year but ay what can you do! Me and a bunch of pals replaced it with a good old fashioned cookout! I'd include images of it but I've been sworn to secrecy \(⌒▽⌒)

I still don't really know who left this spaghetti here

iu_1515416_5911890.png

I also managed to get out to a bunch of concerts which god I'm so glad I can make time for these, There was a couple shows I missed and was SUPER bummed about but I managed to see Danny Brown, Underscores, and Femtanyl live all in one night so I think I can look past missing a few bands I like. Notably Los Campesinos! Moshing to tracks off Chaser is life changing shit man. I hope some day more musicians I like will come where I'm stationed at, I'm in a city that gets skipped a ton!

I realized recently one of the reasons I love going to these shows is that so many social barriers are just off and you get to shoot the shit with anyone and everyone, Lovely place for someone like me who loves talkin to strangers.

Cool shit 4 u

I love digging for cool shit and I have a bunch of cool finds I wish to share or projects I just wanna shout out in general, so indulge me for a moment while I pile on some recommendations:

this next one isn't very unknown but i can't help but shill for it, UNBEATABLE is a great experience esp if you fw rhythm games, which feels likely for some reason!

Conclusion

I have a bunch of goals going into 2026, so I'm gonna tag on my New Years Resolutions here at the end, Maybe being public about them will help me stick to em! Share yours in the comments, lets keep each other accountable :P

  • Play more games, Watch more movies, Read more
  • Make more small projects for jams & events & for fun
  • Be more active generally (ex, take more walks)
  • Make good progress on [Project I can't Mention Publicly]
  • Finish my Home Server build
  • Finish de-googling

Here's hoping I can knock out at least a couple of these! Of course I'm aiming for all of them but I'm hoping I'd be able to at least get 2 or 3 knocked off by 2026 ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ

AHAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHHHHHHH

The last week of December is my favorite time of year, its this cool nebulous moment where we're all in a limbo of sorts. There's comfort in thAT! I'm gonna continue my yearly tradition of getting fucked up on New Years surrounded by friends, and maybe get a playthrough of UNBEATABLE in since beating it a couple hours after midnight on new years is the developers self described "Ideal" way of someone experiencing the game, Might have to take them up on that...

I hope this year has treated you well random stranger (and/or possibly Friend) reading this! Cheers to 2026, Let's all make sure to use proper and respectful Portal Etiquette next year!
