After I found out K likes baking I immediately turned to my OC that I paired with them who coincidentally have a sweet tooth. Now I just imagine my OC asking(begging) for them to make him baked desserts from time to time and would volunteer to eat anything they make.
You wouldn’t even have to ask them. K’s love languages are acts of service and gift-giving, so they’d happily make the Hunter baked goods if they wish.
Just don’t mention it to Rylan. If they have to start baking for their friends too, K might get a little grumpy about things.
Will players be able to talk to ROs abt their like sexuality and/or relationship experiences? Like if an mc has had a lot of relationships but nothing committed or if they have no experience whatsoever.

As of right now, there is no scene that will allow for this conversation, but if enough people think it’s important enough to establish I will consider squeezing it into Book 2. It all comes down to whether I think it will flow well in a scene and if it feels natural to the plot.

I think you mean this in a “it wouldn’t make sense for K’s character” way rather than “K grosses me out in general” way. I hope.
If so, I completely agree! While I would understand any disappointment that they’re the only RO without a kiss scene, it simply doesn’t suit their path. There’s a lot of angst and build-up in their relationship with the Hunter, and that doesn’t happen overnight. The tension is so much better when it’s drawn out into Book 2. I promise you, when that kiss scene comes, it’ll be sooo worth it <3
Hello! Ik you're probably super busy, but I was wondering if you had any advice for someone considering making an IF? Your IF was the first one I ever played a few years ago, and it was my gateway into finding others, so I thought you would be a good person to ask!
I do writing in my free time but I don't often share because I'm self conscious, and I don't know how to work twine or things like that.
Do you have any advice? Or resources I could look at myself to help?

I’ve answered this a few times now, so you can scroll through my advice tag for other responses.
As a general rule, have fun with it! Don’t get bogged down by the details. Writing an IF can be really overwhelming at first, especially when you realize how many choices you’ll have to write. But all of that comes later. I suggest beginning with something small.
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope 2026 has been treating you all wonderfully so far and that the rest of the year continues to do so too! As for me, I’m doing great. I was a bit burnt out from this project towards the end of 2025, so, for January, I decided to take a break from Patreon to rewire my brain and get things back on track. It’s only been a few days in 2026, but it’s been working amazingly so far. I feel like I’ve made so much more progress with K’s route than I have in weeks, but I’ll get to that in a bit.
Now, I suppose you’re probably wondering where things stand with this chapter. After all, the tentative release date is next month, and I seem nowhere near that deadline. Well, you’d be right about that. But I’m staying optimistic. I’ll be working as hard as I can for the next few weeks to release this chapter by the game’s 5th anniversary (!!). If it happens, it happens; if I don’t manage to make it, then that’s okay too.
To put things into perspective, writing-wise, I’m about 75% done with the chapter. Coding-wise, I’m about 40% finished. But this goes by quickly when my responsibilities are not split. As I’ve mentioned before, [A]’s and Blane’s routes are entirely finished, aside from beta-testing. Similarly, Rylan’s route is currently going through the first round of edits and will soon be coded. Once that’s done, I will also send their route off to beta-testing.
As of today, I am currently working on K’s route, which is about 60% finished. In previous updates, I mentioned how difficult I was finding their route and that I was struggling with writer’s block. I’m happy to say that it has passed, and I am powering through K’s route quicker than ever! It’s been a lot of fun to explore the themes of their immortality and their feelings on the subject. While K’s route is the only path that doesn’t involve a kiss, I still think it’s worth playing. This one is definitely for the angst lovers (dare I say that sometimes, not kissing can be more intimate than the act itself?).
For the rest of the month, I will be working with beta-testers (which I may open up new applications for, so be on the lookout) to edit [A]’s, Blane’s and Rylan’s routes, while I also wrap up K’s route and start writing N’s. It’s a very ambitious plan, but I’m also really excited to see how much I can accomplish. We’re nearly at the end of the tunnel!

Hmm if I were playing my game, I’d romance Blane or Rylan. I like how they hold their cards close to their chests and I’ve always been vocal about how rivals/enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes of all time. I like the angst !!

Hii feel free to ignore this us youre too busy! No pressure :) But when did Kai (non binary k) figure out that they were non binary and demisexual? Would it have been when they were younger, though it wasnt exactly as accepted and wide spread knowledge? Or would it have been in the recent decades?
Learning they are non-binary would’ve been in the early stages of their life, closer to their 20s.
The demisexuality would come later, as there was not (as still is not) much information on the topic. That said, they always knew their approach to intimacy and attraction was different to other people’s—they just didn’t know how to define it.
K has always been accepting of themself, but getting other people to understand their identity is of course going to be trickier. Especially considering the century they come from, it wasn’t exactly “normalized.” But the supernatural community is more welcoming of these ideas than others, which was helpful.
