Add a 'view only' mode to SmoothCSV. This mode would not allow editing of the contents of a file, it would only allow viewing. In addition, clicking a single row would open a floating window that shows a vertical list of the values for each column.
Why is this needed?
I recently migrated from Windows to Mac. Everyday I have to open (but not edit) several CSV files in order to review their content. On Windows, I used the Nirsoft CSVFileView utility for this task --> https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/csv_file_view.html
When searching for a Mac equivalent to the CSVFileView utility, I found SmoothCSV. SmoothCSV is an excellent application, but in some cases I am afraid I might accidentally change the contents of a CSV file (even with the save changes prompt when closing a file).
A 'view only' option would prevent any changes from occurring. In addition, the ability to click on a single row and review its contents in a new window from 'top to bottom' would make the data easier to review.
