Does Office activation on macOS support Voice Dictation? #898
-
I activated on Windows 11 by following the steps exactly for Office activation and it worked great. At first I could not use Voice Dictation in Word, but as soon as I logged in with an Outlook account in Word and restarted the program everything worked perfectly. I tried doing it on macOS Sonoma and the Voice Dictation button doesn't appear (it was present before with a Microsoft 365 subscription). Other than that Office works as expected. Steps I followed:
It works, since I can open any Office apps and use them, but the Voice Dictation button is not there. I'm logged in with an Outlook email in Word and have enabled the microphone access for the Office programs, but the button is not there. The steps for Windows 11 Office activation with an Outlook email logged in Word and microphone access, does have the Voice Dictation button and I can use it. |

Office 2024 may not have the feature you're looking for, and there's no known good way to pirate Office 365 on MacOS at the moment |

Thanks for the info, so it's not that clean of a process like Windows. I'm confident Office 2024 does have this feature, but maybe there's something different when it comes to macOS. |

@xcpn The Voice Dictation feature is available for O365 users only. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dictate-text-using-speech-recognition-05725ee2-ae2e-438f-847c-b80e754eb50b |

So the Office I downloaded for macOS via the doc link on the massgrave site, and the Office I downloaded for Windows 11 via the doc are not basically the same? All I did was follow the docs for both platforms and use the recommended/preferred methods. Ended up with Voice Dictation in Windows but not macOS. Anyway thanks for great work, appreciate it but ended up subscribing again. |

I feel like his answer was pretty clear. The activators we provide for MacOS are made by Microsoft. The Voice Dictation feature is only available in Office 365 and Microsoft doesn't provide an activator for Office 365 on MacOS. Which is why we can't do anything to help you. You have Office 365 installed and activated on your Windows system, while you don't on your MacOS system. That is why the feature works on Windows and doesn't on MacOS. Is anything else unclear? |

@xcpn
The activation file is officially made by Microsoft, it's not a crack.
The Voice Dictation feature is available for O365 users only.
