I am filling this request on the behalf of the AIgle racer team, who worked in the last few month on an open source autonomous racing drone project as part of the TU Delft Aerospace engineering bachelor Design Synthesis exercise.
This project was undertaken with the intention of paving the way to future drone racing endeavor, and facilitate AI research and development. This is done through publishing an open-source drone design and demonstration software.
Airsim was used in the development of the navigation protocol, which makes use of Double Deep Reinforcement Learning and Deep Deterministic Policy Gradients to teach the drone to fly around a track. The repository containing all the information can be found at https://vguillet.github.io/AIgle_Racer/ .
The official documentation (comprising a total of 4 reports) is still in the process of being reviewed and finalised. It will be uploaded when complete.
