How to debug no internet connection inside wsl 2 on windows build 19045.3803

Hello, I have been struggling with the issue of trying to connect to internet from WSL 2 for a while. I tried various things from other discussions with no success.
How can this issue be debugged to pinpoint the root cause of the problem?

Some of the things I have tried so far with no success:

• add nameserver 8.8.8.8 in /etc/resolv.conf file and generateResolvConf = false in /etc/wsl.conf
• reset network/ use wifi/direct cable connection
• delete network adapters
• disable and enable hyper v features.

I've tried various settings but don't know what the underlying cause is. Any help is appreciated thanks.
