Here 02:11
Don’t sit in my lane cos I’m already here. Don’t sit in my lane cos I’m already here I’m waiting for you. What do I do? I’m already here for you. I’m already ready here 2x

Cycling 02:02
I’ve been staring at the hourglass. Watching water boil. Loading my life away for you. But you’re here now. I can’t believe it. But you’re here now, I can’t unsee it. But you’re here now, is this a dream? Is this a dream? Is this a dream? Oo Oo Oo Oo I’ve been staring at the hourglass. Watching water boil. Loading my life away for you. But you’re here now. I can’t believe it. But you’re here now, I can’t unsee it. But you’re here now, is this a dream? Is this a dream? Is this a dream? Oo Oo Oo Oo

Surface Talk 02:28
When your whole world starts to crumble, and you’ve got no idea you look at me like I’m a flea. You hold your breath and wait for it to be over. Over. Hey! When they’re on board, you start to crumble, and they’ve got no idea. You look at me like I’m a flea. You hold your breath and wait for it to be over. Over. Hey. Ss ss ss ss ss ss surface talk Now it’s your turn you start to crumble, and you’ve got all ideas, don’t look at me, I’m your flea. You hold your breath and wait for it to be over. Over. Hey.

If I could play this chord with just one finger, I think we’d all be fine. It’s Gunna be fine It’s Gunna be fine. If you could end the cycle with just one word in, I think we’ll all be fine. It’s Gunna be fine. It’s Gunna be fine. You let me say hello and say goodbye. Either way it’s so… It’s fine. It’s Gunna be fine.

Light shines every day and night on our sacred stretch of road. Yeah, my youth made me feel alive, now it makes me feel alone. I’ll admit what’s the worst you can get with a neon-colored soul. You and me and the devil makes three, but time will sell us all. Cos people fade into their little lives. People grow, people die, what a shame, to be justified and never trust the passing time. People fade. Light shines every day and night on our sacred stretch of road. But we take to the moon and the stars cos we don’t know where to go. Cos people fade into their little lives. People grow, people die, what a shame, to be justified and never trust the passing time. Please fade.

With a pocket full of sunflowers, I let you over. A revelation imagination. Now I’m picking up your stuff you left behind. It’s not your house, you don’t mind. Now you’re leaving everything upside down. You’re leaving everything upside down. Now I’m greeted with solitude. Haunted by my hand-held-tube. The couch is saying, “Hi,” to me with its two mouths. Oh Lovey. You’d fit just right, just like a tooth. And now I’m spinning’ just like a screw. Go on living your life, brand new. You’re leaving everything upside down

about

Gretta Seabird is the collaboration between friends Lee McDonnell and Jeremiah Brunnhoelzl, whose debut EP Cycling was born out of a songwriting challenge that sparked their creative partnership. Blending reflective lyrics and a sound that drifts between folk, rock and at times folktronica, the songs trace themes of cycles, change, and renewal all rolled into one EP.
