How does the game fit the theme?
The player must choose between staying near the base to collect items or taking the risk of exploring the world. The farther they go, the better the rewards, but the risk is also much higher, because if they die outside the base, they lose all their items and are left only with basic equipment. Outside the base, a single mistake can cost everything collected. It’s a constant choice between playing it safe or risking everything for faster progress.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The art and sounds.

It's really good, expecially considering it's made in one week. I really liked the RPG elements like the quest progression, and the dark mood when you exit the village is really cool aswell!
You implemented so many mechanics, and they all work really well — very commendable! However, the game itself feels a bit boring at times. The enemies don’t feel very threatening since there’s infinite ammo, and the lack of sound cues for zombie approaches is a big missed opportunity. Adding those elements could really raise the tension and make the gameplay more engaging
I had a bit of a hard time getting the hang of it, but once I did I realized how much there was to this game! Well done especially for such a short amount of time!
Good work! It's a fun game with a lot of really impressive systems in place, like the quests, inventory and shop. I think the concept is very good but it could be improved by making it a bit darker outside. It didn't seem super dangerous (even if it actually was) because it was pretty bright and looked like there were no enemies (since they're invisible outside of the flashlight). Other than that, I think there's a lot of potential here, and you should be proud of this entry!
Amazing entry. I wanted to build something similar for a jam but could never complete it. This game is a solid 4/5 from me. The only issue i found was that i could walk over the houses.
Thanks for the feedback, haha. We took a lot of risks. The systems weren't 100% perfect. I had to adapt some things to make things faster. I still want to improve them. And we're planning on doing the interior areas of the houses. I think it would be really interesting.
Very well made for a single week! I like how you made so many systems! Maybe needs a tutorial at the start to make a player familiar with the mechanics and the gameplay loop.
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, we really missed a tutorial, we've already added it to our to-do list haha
Really solid game, in a week jam to do this amount of systems is really cool, I liked all of them: upgrades, shop, quests, combat, etc. I have beated all the quests of the game, your game is really fun. My problems are only 3:
1 - lost items: I selled my shotgun cause I was too heavy, but I thought I could buy it again, but no, the shop now don't sell anything. When I first die, I thought my guns would be available to buy at the shop, but again... no.
2 - Flashlight: I would wish if the map was actually dark and the flashlight worked as an actual light, but actually the map is 100% visible and the zombies are invisible, the flashlight only works as a way to turn zombies visible again. That causes a fake impression that I'm in a safe place but a zombie basically spawn in my face in a sudden. If the map were actually dark, this would not be a problem.
3 - Map too big: At first I thought the map being big is amazing (actually is), but then I discovered that I had to walk for minutes to take an item and then go back all the way again, the map could be smaller, I think it would be better, but I see a potential to a big map like this, in an update you can really fill it with cool stuffs. So, keep going.
Congrats for your game, even though I said these complains, the game was really enjoyable, otherwise I wouldn't do all the quests, so congrats for doing a solid game in a short time like this.
Oh, I'm very happy with this feedback, thank you very much for being detailed and completing all the quests too, we will definitely apply these changes now that we have more time haha
Pretty cool game.
I didn't get that you need to get a quest at first and just wandered around for a few minutes. Also it's kind of gets boring because there are not much things to do and avoiding zombies is .. not easy, but also not really challenging? like you can stumble on them if you forget to circle around, but otherwise you are fine. I think it works better in games like P. Zomboid because you can hear zombies approaching (and also see in a small circle around you).
Anyways, very cohesive game and nice rpg elements!
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, Project Zomboid was our main inspiration; it would really enhance the zombie sound. We'll definitely incorporate that in a future update.
I really like the overall feel of the game and the switch of the music when you go outside .But there are few glitches I found is that the game is not y sorted so our player can get inside tree trunks and grasses too...and I few suggestion like adding a better gun sound , implementing a bullet hell system and also adding pause menu and adding hurt sound too.... And also I would love to have a feedback on my game as well
Thank you for the feedback, yes, those details were missing or we will definitely correct them in the future.
I think the idea is great, and I really liked the atmosphere between the music choice, the way the enemies would get revealed, and how they seemed to be very different colors than the rest of the game actually all worked really well. Unfortunately I don’t think I ever saw more than like one enemy every, idk, like 20-30 seconds? at best? Did every quest and I guess that’s it. My health did go down a few times but I’m not sure what from, never actually felt in danger or saw anyone near me. I’d love to see what could be done with this fleshed out more, but it’s a great start :)
Thanks for the feedback, the enemy spawning was really low, we had the intention of spawning hordes of zombies in front of you when you reached certain points but we didn't have time, but it's definitely one of the improvements we want to make
This game is fun, I like the mechanic where zombies are hidden unless in line of sight. I think having more enemies spawn at once would be fun to have bigger hordes to fight and maybe combat focused quests as well.
Thanks for the feedback, it's definitely one of the improvements we want to make is to make combat more challenging and fun so that it's actually dangerous to explore the map.
Great game! You managed to do a lot in a short period!
Thank you, there are still many refinements to be made, and we will definitely do so.
so much fun, very good game, i like it so much, good job and hard work, i want to play it more and more
Very fun lil top down shooter! Gunplay is nice and enemies don't feel that boring. HOWEVER I do think enemies are spawned too slowly and should be ramped up quicker. Other than that good game :P
Vlw.
such a expandable game.
i think it's a good core loop and able to make player more pleasure with better art and sound design.
i don't find a bad thing but i just understood it's need to get expand
Wonderful little zombie survival game. Had a ton of fun playing it and wouldn’t hate to spend a few bucks playing a full game like this!
Awesome! I’ll follow you so I can keep tabs on it when you release!
Cute for a zombie survival game and very charming :) Some of the features are a bit confusing to access, but I eventually got a hang of it. I wish there was more flavor in the quests story-wise but that type of thing is difficult to manage in just a week. Good work!
Tô impressionado com os gráficos! Pixel art na sua melhor forma! Meus parabéns!! Tá muito legal e a jogabilidade excelente!! Tem até item e quest!! Vc pretende continuar atualizando depois da jam?!
Obrigado, ficamos felizes que vc gostou! sim, vamos continuar e lançar ele completo
Legal! Vou ficar de olho então! Boa jam pra vcs!
