Interesting twist of chess!

Interesting idea to get handicap to player. I think, in future version, you should not add linear elo but increase/decrease elo by binary search. And maybe it will be better to start game from different positions, like in middlegame from famous games.

Realized how long it's been since I've played chess. Not sure what the power ups were for. Good graphics and sound.

Riskfish’s art style and chess twist are spot on, big fans of how the abilities feel like risky power-ups even if we didn’t always get to use them much. We also made a jam game called Logic Bomb, would love if you check it out!

The visuals are nice. I had my brother play the game and he loved the chess! Couldn't find a use for the abilities but maybe that's how chess people are haha

yeah ill be honest, I tried a few openers like queens pawn opener and a few gambits like my fav danish gambit. but yeah  idk what elo this ai was at but wowowow do i suck then. V curious what the ai elo is set at haha lmk. Barely had a use for the powers bc it would put me behind a ton on points scale or lose too much lead as white. I barely could keep +10 value on a queen trade. 
good visuals maybe some lesser punishing powers too would help.

Love the art style, sound FX and of course the chess! I didn't find myself using the abilities much, but it's an interesting twist nonetheless. Good job!

Really cool idea, like Balatro but with chess. I can see this being popular with people who are actually good at the game! The ai beat me but then didn't know how to get me in check mate, not sure if that's intentional, but then I just moved my king from side to side for a minute to run down the timer. Still a really fun game though, well done!
