How does the game fit the theme?
taking harder routes would have eventually lead you to an easier boss, while taking easy routes would lead you to a very hard boss. this was never implemented because our team ran out of time

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
rain SFX- from freesound

I actually enjoyed this. Feels like a potential metroidvania masterpiece. Do tell me when it's finished :D

Cute game, kudos for trying :)

Really cute art. As a suggestion you could try looping the music and background sounds. shame this game wasn't finished.

I really like the woodpecker character! Sad it's not finished, but still nice work!

nice smooth animations and player controller, it feels really good. tutorial is very good, explains mechanics in interactive manner without annoying.

things to improve: tutorial mobs requires like 10 hits to destroy, it feels a bit strange and pointless. pressing S to enter the portal, is there any chance that I don't want to go to portal?  and just restarting a scene when player falls would be enough as a death

would be interesting to see how you explore this idea of boss fights. nice try and wish you best for the next jam
