Took me back to the Sega Genesis days. Love the style, music, and gameplay. Great work!
Good work! A fun little platformer, tho the wife left me. I will say maybe you could make the inputs a little easier, like the mouse should take the direction of whatever its currently going for gliding instead of having to press the direction. Also a way to climb up leges too as I would be stuck on them constantly with no way out but to die.
Nice game ^^. but you should add coyote jump to make it easier. Other than that it is good :)
This was a super fun game! I love the art and the font that was used. The way that the text shook in the dialog boxes was an amazing touch! Extremely funny story as well. Great job!
Real cool game, at first I didn't know I could dash up, so I failed and got the bad ending. After that I learned and I could get the good ending, mechanic is pretty solid, I would suggest an update in the dash. Currently if I use dash in the ground near a cliff, the mouse go straight through the hole, which is the expected behaviour of a dash, the problem is when I use dash in mid air, the mouse will fall, which is not so interesting in a dash mechanic. Of course, you can make that decision as game designer, it depends on your intentions. But as a player, I prefer a dash that drives me straight in the air or ground. Other than that, congrats for your game, it's really well developed.
I’m a hard boiled rat, Miranda…

The lil’ rat dance at the end made the whole struggle worth it.
I wish it was better explained that the dash can me used in all directions and not just sideways, learning that made the game go from “extremely frustrating” to “extremely fun”.
I loved the dialogues, I got angry at spike hitboxes, overall, solid platformer.
my wife left me!! Honestly this game has amazing visuals and actual fun gameplay, I found myself truly struggling and wanting to keep going. I love thats there also a bit of story, congrats making this as only two people!
OMG the art and story and characters are so cute. Miranda would be so happy if my death count is 5 and cookie count is 30+, not the opposite.
The visuals and animations are awesome, definitely the game’s biggest highlight!
The gameplay’s fun, even if I struggled a bit with the controls.
The art style is cute, the story is funny, and the game play was enjoyable.
It took me a while to realize that you can use W while dashing, because it is possible to beat the tutorial room without it. Then when I got to the first trampoline, I finally realized.
Overall, a really great game on all fronts. Congrats!
The platform is pretty great, jump and dash feels great but I got stuck at the 2nd room for a bit until I figured you need to dash from a high angle instead so it gets tricky sometimes. Story is pretty cute also considering it does end hilariously if you do so badly :P
Short and sweet but fun to replay. I liked it. I think I got ten biscuits in one run before I stopped. Pretty good game, nice art, concept, gameplay, audio, very enjoyable.

we have food.
I can't believe I'm getting rat divorced...All because I took a nap and then came back with only three biscuits. That's one for each of us! smh
I had a lot of fun playing this. I wasn't able to beat it after many attempt and I kept getting stuck in the wall and having to restart so that kind of ruined it a bit for me. I loved the whole vibe though - audio and pixel art are great and the story fits in so well with theme. I may try again in a little while but I really couldn't get my hands to work the dash up jump very well and as I said, would end up in the wall. I understand it's a jam game and I still had a ton of fun - thank you for sharing your game with us - great entry!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm sorry that dashing up against a ceiling is a little buggy, next time I'm planning on spending a lot more time debugging and finding issues like this. If it helps, try to avoid using the dash when you're close to a ceiling, the issue happens when the character has to switch hit boxes from sideways to upwards and the hit box overlaps with the ceiling. Thanks again and good luck with the jam!
I had fun playing this game. The characters and the story is really funny and the mechanics are good overall. The only issue I had was not knowing that you could dash upwards but I managed to figure it out quickly. Definitely one of the better games in the jam. I hope you get the rankings you want :)
I failed my father and got disowned, just like real life.
Nice entry, visually nice, always nice to have a lil bit of story! The dash is fun, and the controls being simple enough to teach as part of the level is a great bonus design wise. Movement could be tweaked a little bit, I had a lot of trouble dashing too far through the spikes and trying to correct backward in midair and hitting the other spikes anyway, but that could 100% be a skill issue. I also saw that you could stick to walls but couldn’t do anything if you did? Being able to wall jump off would be great to get you out of sticky situations (maybe you could but I couldn’t do it).
Nice! I couldn't help the poor Leeroy to feed his family but it was enjoyable!
